Roger
Morse code deciphered: Rob is exposed

Summary:
Roger loses it after Gray kicks the refugees out of Jericho
  • Gray and Roger face off over the refugee problem, which quickly escalates into violence;
  • Hawkins travels to Nebraska to deliver the package to people who think they'll be meeting with Sarah.

Episode recap:
The episode opens with two kids chasing after a rabbit for food. They stumble upon a barn house and check inside it to find the tank from Semper Fidelis. The scene shifts to inside town hall where Roger and Gray are arguing over what to do with the refugees. Gray decides that it is time to kick the refugees out. The refugees demand that they stay until winter is over and a brawl ensues between Jericho's authorities and the refugees.

The refugees barricade themselves in the church basement while Roger attempts to negotiate with Gray. Gray decides that he needs to get the refugees out of the church and, despite dissuasion by the Reverend, throws a tear gas grenade through the window. The refugees run to escape the church, killing one in the process.

Meanwhile, Robert Hawkins is communicating with Sarah's employers and they decide that they will meet in Nebraska to pick up the 20 kiloton nuclear "package." 40 49 57.28N / 96 41 47.8 McCook, NE are the coordinates received on Sarah's pager device. (these actual coordinates are for the state fairgrounds in Lincoln, NE although there is a McCook, NE just north of the Kansas border) After reaching Nebraska, Robert stalls for time by changing the meeting place. Sarah's employers look for Sarah as Robert takes their pictures from an abandoned attic. After drawing them away, Robert sneaks underneath the truck used by their leader and places a satellite tracking device. After the employers drive away to meet Sarah at a different location, Robert leaves and heads back to Jericho.

Inside the town hall, Gray and Roger argue over what to do, with Gray insisting that the refugees leave immediately. Panicking, Gray draws a revolver and Roger struggles to get it from him. The gun discharges into Gray's stomach. Roger sends Jake to get a doctor and then denies Gray medical attention until he agrees to his conditions.

Bill, the local deputy, decides to take matters into his own hands and stakes out on a building opposite of the town hall with a sniper rifle. While he targets Roger, Jake sees him and bursts into the room, telling everyone to get away from the windows. Bill fires the rifle and nobody is hit, but glass is shattered and sent all over the room.Roger closes the shutters on the windows and turns back to Gray, finally allowing him medical attention. Roger agrees to leave with supplies of gas, food, and warm clothes if he can take Gray with him as collateral. The doctor strongly advises against it and Jake volunteers to be his hostage.

Meanwhile, Gail Green has a plan to divide the refugees into small groups, taking shelter with various residents of Jericho and living in the houses of people who never came back after the bombs. As Roger takes Jake out at gunpoint, he hears the news and lets Jake go, only to be handcuffed and put in the town jail.

After Robert arrives in Jericho, he sets up a printer to his laptop and prints out the pictures he took in Nebraska. He labels the picture of the leader "Buyer" and then tracks the truck with his satellite access. He sees the buyer talking to a bald headed person and takes a screen shot. He labels that person "Boss" and pins them on a bulletin board. The photo of the Boss is a white male in 50-65 range, bald with dark glasses. Has a dark walking cane in the right hand and put his weight on the left leg. This will indicate right leg injury. Cane has a metal handle.

Emily
While in jail, Emily talks to Roger and tries to convince him to take her with him. Roger doesn't want to put her in danger and insists that she stay. Roger is taken out of the jail later that day and given supplies and heads out to New Bern to receive help from Heather, Eric, and Stanley.

In Bailey's Tavern, the residents of Jericho gather to hear news from a radio that the Marines fixed in Semper Fidelis. The news explains that the terrorists caught in New York had FBI badges that were almost perfect imitations. Jimmy remembers seeing an FBI badge when he and Gray were interrogating Hawkins in Episode 8.

The scene switches back to Hawkins looking on as his family has a barbecue at Jimmy's house, the camera zooms in on Robert's fake FBI badge as the episode ends.

Questions for next episode:
Q: Any predictions as to whether Emily and Jake will be getting back together since Roger has left?
A1: I hope writers would develop a stronger Emily. We need a female hero here; I´m sure she will back with Jake but things are not going to be easy, Heather would feel betrayed and hurt an it would move Emily to reject Jake.

It could be that. I always thought that the "one man" was Roger, and Gray is a terrorist in his his eyes. That makes sense, doesn't it?

It ocured to me that Roger might bump into the phony gyreens, or Jonas, or the mercs, or all three groups. I don't think it to out of the question that this kind of alliance could be fatal for jericho.

Ok, I'm slightly confused. When did it say Australia and England were nuked too? I missed like maybe 10 seconds of the show and my boyfriend saw the whole thing, neither of us can remember that part.

In my mind, this aint pretty. At least 3 countries have been nuked, possibly 5 if the "marines" were tellin the truth 'bout North Korea and Iran. If so, Bejing, Moscow, and other countries not hit will have to provide aid to the countries hit. Keep in mind we don't know the total number of countries hit, so it could include others around the planet. Eventually, it's possible that one country will get mad at another cause it ain't gettin as much aid as Australia or USA or somebody. Then one of the big dogs will step in to quell the argument. Then someone might go to support the complaining country. After so much of this, bing bang boom: its WWIII. And it doesn't have to start like that. Heck, it might have started as the bombs were still goin off. We just don't know enough yet. When we thought it was just the US, i had some hope it wouldn't escalate into a World War, though i still though it possible. But with so many countries hit, its only inevitable of a global conflict. What i want now, and i know i won't get, is as much info as possible as to how the global community is handling this situation.

Anonymous questions about the tank and dale (page: 1 2) 24 Apr 10 2007, 11:56 AM EDT by The_Mighty_Thor

does everyone know about the tank, now that those kids seen it or is it still a secret?
Who were those guys that blocked the farmer from getting his gas back? were they refugees?
And my final question is: is dale going to turn into a bad guy like one of jonah's men? cause if he keeps threatening people he's well on his way to becoming one or getting killed.
