Alien Invasion

The alien invasion theory is that the nuclear attacks were caused by an alien force attempting to cripple the defensive capabilities of the Earth's major military powers. Under this theory, the Chinese might be siding with the U.S., and were not hit as hard during the attacks, which would explain why they are able to ration food supplies.

If this was one of those die-hard Sci-Fi Alien shows, would the aliens use nikes? Come on, I would think that they would pull out the Death Star, or anti matter bombs or something, but nukes?

My thoughts may be way off, but it may raise a few brows. Think of the world today, we are experiencing global warming. What if some type of explosion occured in our solar system and the protective layer was destroyed causing gravity to no longer exist. Could satellites and other cosmic matter fall into our skies and head directly to earth. If so, could this lead to some sort of global type explosions or distruction all over the earth. And could it be mistaken for an attack on the area who was first hit. That would explain their need to respond with such great force. It may be the initial starting point. Then again, some of the characters and episode plots may of may not be a result of this. Hawkins is what throws me off. He may be part of an elite group who obviously has some sort of gain or control of the situation. He may have just been in the wrong place at the wrong time. But why is it that Jericho is close enough to be affected but not directly involved. Could it be by chance or planned for this area not to be destroyed. Think about it, no one would suspect a small out of the way town. Anyone who was part of a cover up could hide without really being exposed. Not sure it reminds me alot of lost, nothing makes sense, but does. Again, maybe its a way to make people realize, they are not indistructable. We have taken advantage of this earth, and the world we live in. Maybe we need to wake up and do more to protect ourselves against OURSELVES
