BIOGRAPHY
Ashley was born in Metairie, Louisiana, but raised in Charleston, South Carolina child between two brothers. Parents Joe Scott, 63, a nurse, and Andrea Meister, 57, an administrative assistant. She is the middle child.
Ashley Scott began her career as a young girl when she began modeling. While living in Charleston, South Carolina she entered a Millie Lewis Convention. Though she forgot her TV commercial, she was so good on recovery, that she won her division. After Millie Lewis and her sophomore year of high school, the 15 year old went to New York to pursue her modeling career. She traveled, trying different markets and eventually became a model for Elite Miami.
After competing at AMTC, she celebrated her 16th birthday in New York, Ashley Scott had been invited to the Big Apple by some of the country's top modeling agencies, and before the 16 small flickering candles were blown out, the Elite agency was ready to make her wish come true. Since then Ashley has appeared in many catalogues and magazines, including Sears, Giorgio Red, and L'Oréal ads.
She has also been seen on E! TV. She settled in Miami, was an active catalogue model, and a Giorgio Red spokesmodel. As a young woman, she modeled internationally, and graced the runways at fashion shows in Miami, Paris and London. She has appeared on the cover of the prestigious Hollywood Reporter and has been tracked by photographers from such publications as WWD, US Weekly and Cosmo Girl.
Ashley decided to try acting. One of her first auditions was with Al Pacino (for the film 'Simone'). When asked how she felt about the audition she said, "I'm dyslexic, so I was more frightened about reading in front of someone whether it be Al Pacino or, you know, anybody. I was more paranoid about that, but, you know, it was cool. It was just like sitting down with regular old people. But he's pretty magical. He's pretty spectacular."
She didn't win the role, but her audition tape for the Al Pacino film landed in the offices of DreamWorks. She was then cast in another film that led to her first significant big screen credit, a few eye catching seconds as Gigolo Jane in the feature film "AI: Artificial Intelligence" where she shared screen time with Jude Law's Gigolo Joe.
In 2001, she also broke into TV when she was cast as Asha Barlow in the second season of FOX's hit sci-fi show Dark Angel. It was her first real acting role. Her character was an ally to cyber journalist Logan Cale (Michael Weatherly) and part of a group formed to expose government corruption. The Dark Angel people liked her enough to try to revise the formerly bookish character to fit Ashley's personality and they also quickly upgraded her from a guest star to a cast member.
In February 2002, while still featured in her reoccurring role on Dark Angel, the announcement came that she was cast as Helena Kyle a.k.a the Huntress (a superhero) in the pilot for the possible upcoming WB series about post-Batman Gotham and a trio of female crime fighters known as the Birds of Prey (a series loosely based on the DC comic of the same name).
Ashley did most of her own stunt work for the pilot episode of Birds of Prey. She's quoted as saying "I want to do as much as I can, legally as much as I can. I like to get my hands dirty, so, yeah, hopefully back handsprings will come." She studied Tai Kwan Do and gymnastics with a trainer in preparation for the role of Huntress. Filming the pilot cut short her time on Dark Angel, but it turned out that show would not be returning in the fall.

She gained a few fans as Huntress in the WB's "Birds of Prey" in the fall of 2002, but that show ended mid-season. Ashley followed her work on 'Birds of Prey' with feature films and has been in such films as "S.W.A.T.", "Trespassing", "Walking Tall", and "Into the Blue". She was originally cast in the pilot of the NBC Matt LeBlanc sitcom Joey in 2004, but she was replaced by Andrea Anders.
She has a minor role in the picture "Just Friends" (2005), as a nurse. She played Emily in the CBS drama "Jericho", and Molly on 12 rounds (2009). Scott currently resides in Los Angeles and lives with Steve Hart, they are expecting a baby next year. She had a tongue ring (She removed it a few years ago) and has two tattoos, one on her lower back and another on the back of her neck.
When not working, she enjoys horseback riding, cooking and hanging out with her friends. She loves the McRib (from McDonalds). Her favorite comic book hero is The Incredible Hulk. She enjoys fishing, specifically 'flounder giggin'.

Exciting New Face : Ashley Scott
Quotes:
"I’ve always been a good kid. I was raised incredibly well, I’m a loving person but when I was younger I gave [rebellion] a good go. I was very active but I was dyslexic and had a really hard time at school. You have some anger from that. I think a lot of my rebellion came from being angry from the get-go. I’m so thankful that nowadays there are ways to detect it early."
"I have a hard time retaining the lines. Even on set I make mistakes but I’m okay with that. Writing is weird. I have trouble with print so I write cursive and in my mind that writes properly. I’ll read a paragraph and go off but I’ll read it again. I try to get my scripts a week earlier and work three times harder. But I make it. Other actors flub their lines too."
"My family is very tall, gangly and skinny. But you can be flabby skinny, so it's good to always keep up, to do some sort of exercises. I walk at night with my sister-in-law, which has been amazing. It really does something for you. It kind of clears the mind, makes you feel better. Things start to tighten a little bit."
"My mom used to say, "Don't bring you bad mood in the house, take your bad mood coat off and put it outside the door and come inside, if you want to put it back on when you leave, that's fine." I used to hang my coat a lot."
"I have my own great relationship with God. I may not be at the end of my bed praying every night, but he hears from me at least five, six, times a day. I might be hollerin' at him, but I'm still talking to him. God's got a great sense of humor."
"If there's something in your life that you want change, change it. Quit complaining. It makes your life miserable; it makes everyone else's life miserable around you. That's the way I live. It makes me a happy person."
