A while back, I read an article by "Click& Clack" the auto repair brothers on PBS, and someone asked "What was the deal with macho guys all driving diesels"?. The truck you mentioned was probably a diesel, and according to the brothers, the Diesel is considered the ultimate survival vehicle,being that diesel's can continue to run after an EMP. This article was a few years back, so an extensive web search might be in order.

What I can't figure out is how on earth did she end up with such an out of touch boyfriend. The whole part of the conversation over the dinner table about the internet was complete comic relief. And before that he was a trouble maker in town. I mean where did they meet other than that one brief scene before they start sleeping together?"

I think she did it out of spite. Stanley had his woman in the house, so Bonnie wanted to remind Stanley that it was her house also. Unfortunately "Dippy" was the best she could come up with at the time. I don't think she will keep him long, tho. How many other kids have chosen someone that they knew the "the parents" wouldn't approve of. A bit of rebellion on Bonnie's part, I think.
I also think that Bonnie will make Shawn either "shape up or ship out" once things settle down a bit. I don't think she is the type to put up with his lazieness for long. She is a worker and expects everyone else to be as well. I'm aslo sure that Stanley will make Shawn earn his keep also. (No more "vibe man" garbage.)

I really can't believe that CBS a channel that has been around for as long as I can remember (and I am up close to the 50 mark) (a real American Channel people watch and believe in), wouldn't want to post a family show (they created) during a time frame in which the whole family could be apart of it. This show, the actors and their writers have put such an imprint to something that we all have been looking for in such a long time. They have taken pray out of school, the ten commandments out of the court rooms, brought American's to their knee's with the World Trade Center attack, (CBS reported it all) and then give us a taste of what we (American’s) use to be like (families first, real friendships, teams, American’s and helping your neighbors) and then second guess themselves in bring Jericho back for another season and putting it on so that our children can’t watch these morals?? CBS why are you doing this?? Jericho is a show you laugh and cry with them. You believed in the Beaver, you loved Lucy, and every little boy wanted to grow-up to be superman, this Jericho show has that same type of foundation, real actors, story lines, families and real life situations good and bad, that everyone from every walk of life can relate to. The standard use to be set by you, are you afraid of success??
