NEW NUTS CAMPAIGN IS A GO!

Hello everyone!

I am now happy to report that the campaign for nut gift baskets to our major media sources is a GO GO GO! The press release have been submitted to Jeff and Mary for final revision and our "gift pack" has been chosen. We ended up with 41 places to send our treats to (one additional at the request of the person who wanted the San Jose paper, sorry, I can't remember who it was....it has been a blur these last few day). It has been requested that we add TV Guide and Entertainment Weekly to the pot. This will depend on the amount of donations we receive.

Now, to the baskets and how to donate. After talking with Jeff B., we are unable to get a basket for our choice of nuts. :(. So what we have decided to do is send the $11.99 mixed nut sampler tray instead. If you have not seen it here is the link.

The reason for this is to keep the cost down for the price of the nuts and shipping. If we do 12 x 43....the cost for the nuts will be $516. We do not know what shipping costs and tax if there is any, will be yet...but I am going to guess high -- between $100 - $150...we will have the definate amount hopefully by tomorrow. So roughly this will cost $650 to do. You do not have to donate the full basket amount....just donate what you are willing to give.

Jeff does not have the capability to pool our money at this time, so I will volunteer my paypal account for this cause. You will need to send your donation to looseygoosey@tds.net. You will have to go to www.paypal.com, then go to send money. You will put in my email address as the person who is receiving, your email address as the person sending and then follow the steps to finsh the transaction. I will subtract Paypal fees from your donation. We would like to have all donations by Friday so we can be ready to roll immediately after the Variety ad hits the stands.

If we surpass our goal before the Hollywood Reporter deadline...I will donate any extra money toward the Hollywood Reporter ad. If we meet our goal after the deadline, the surplus will be donated to the DVD campaign unless anyone objects. I will post to this thread a financial statement so everyone will be able to review what happened to the money once the campaign is over. If you have any questions, feel free to post here!
