These figures are doubtful. The bombings at Hiroshima and Nagasaki were about the same yield as the bombs used in Jericho (maybe 1 or 2 kilotons more), and generated approximately 214,000 casualties. That was in only 2 cities, and the bombs were dropped over industrial (not residential) areas. In Jericho, assuming the bombs were detonated in commercial or residential zones, would have generated far more casualties than what you are depticting.

Why are your numbers so low? I live in LA and I've read the Nuclear Terrorist Analysis Report by the RAND Corporation. They show 60,000 deaths almost immediately. You only show 9,707 and yet the nuclear bombs in Jericho were twice the size of the RAND Corp report. Why is this?

I think there would be more casulties than you've come up with, no offence meant. The bombs were supposed to wipe out, what, over half of Americans? Aren't there like six billion people in America? And a nuclear bomb in say, Washington D.C., would not just blow up D.C. but some surrounding area, too. And then there's the very widespread problem of radiation which would also knock out a few hundred thousand people. Rememebr Hawkins' poster which shows the area surrounding a city which would be destroyed, as well as a much broader zone for radiation?...Look at Hakwins' poster again; it's shown in 1.18 "AKA" and 1.21 "Coaltion of the Willing." Everyone within the colorful zones would either die at once or be killed by radiation, making casualties of millions.
