Did anyone happen to notice Beck's uniform still said US Army and not AS Army. Perhaps I'm reading too much into it, but I suspect the producers did not overlook that fact. Especially since it seemed to be in the center of the frame when he was haveing the converstion about the true nature of the ASA government with Hawkins.

an idea for a subplot... after arrival of legitimate state/regional/federal gov of some sort, Mimi gets down to business to write up Richmond Farm tax matters in a favorable light. then suffers a near breakdown at the realization that its more than dollars and cents- or pluses and minuses out in the field !

I started watching the show because of the premis of a nuclear attack in America, out of a desire to know what that would mean and what you would need to do to survive. On this show, however, there are few characters that I can stand watching. The ones in charge are simply entitled and arrogant and the petty and selfish, spoiled behaviors of all the rest just make it unpleasant to watch. If there were decent characters this show would be an education and an inspiration.

We got a taste of reality when Jake and Eric went for medicine...I say ENOUGH with the FLUFF! Lets see what it's really like in a post- apocolyptic small town.

Is it me or do the Green boys seem to have terminally bad taste in women? Eric has a choice between April (his wife, a doctor, a caring woman who appears to really love him, who's pregnant) and Mary (his sometime mistress, a bartender who sells moonshine to the townsfolk) and he picks Mary?! Jake appears to have a choice between Emily and Heather. Emily who has long unfairly blamed Jake for her brother's death and who, apparently, is literally the reason Jake left town for five years and Heather, a cute gradeschool teacher who's never caused him any trouble at all, and he's picking Heather? I suppose it's time to be grateful that Roger's back in town, though I'm sure the drama there will be that Heather will pick Jake over Roger (despite the fact that Roger has a certain Owenocity). So, instead of getting one happy family and two happy couples, we'll get one unwed mother, two doomed relationships and two broken hearts. Good choices, guys. Woot!
