Disapearance of Heather
Where is she?
After the events at Black Jack in episode 13, Heather left for New Bern (her hometown) with her friend Ted and two others from the town, ostensibly "just for a few days." The days have turned into weeks, and we have yet to see her again.
Her ultimate fate
When Jake drives to New Bern and finds his brother Eric in jail, Eric tells him that Heather learned what was going on in town (the local factory was manufacturing munitions for an attack on Jericho), and had managed to sabotage the machinery. When Jake asks where she is, Eric says the unthinkable -- Heather is dead.
Is this true? Did Eric see her die? Or was he simply fed misinformation by New Bern officials to demoralize him? Will we see Heather again before the end of the season happens? And, if we see her, will she be dead, or alive?
BREAKING NEWS: In the preview for episode 22 (the season finale), a group of Army men or Marines come across an overturned car. Most of the occupants have been thrown from the car and are dead, but they come across one of the bodies and state, "This one's alive!" It's Heather. Looks like she's made it. We'll know the whole story on May 9, when the episode airs.

I think that if she is dead that Russel was forced to kill her by Constantino and that he is going to snap in the last episode and kill him.

Heather needs to be alive for a couple of reasons, but the mostly because of one reason. The show will suffer a slow and miserable death if they keep killing off interesting characters that have hardly been developed. How long can the writers keep it up with the "omg! nukes hit the U.S. no one knows whats happening and sometimes things happen blah blah blah..." It's getting boring, especially because all the characters left alive now are the stupid ones no one cares about like the whiny mom and the stupid dad who eric has inherently taken some of his characteristics from judging on his idiocity. i loved this show in the beginning and what really drew me in was heathers character. If the writers were halfway descent they would have at least showed us heathers death and it would have been scary and suspensful, but no, they do crappy one liners that hardly make you feel anything for the death!! I don't know, if she's dead, the show is dead to me too!
