Operation Phoenix/Comic Book Update
November 09, 2010
Hello Fellow Rangers,
With the elections now over and the holidays approaching we have reached out to Dan Shotz on several fronts to get the name of the new Publisher/Distributor for the comic and the estimated release date for issue #4.
It has been two weeks since our last contact with Dan and as we all have been more than patient we deserve concrete answers to these basic questions. I continue to think the rest of the comic series will continue for 2 reasons. First and foremost,I believe Dan truly cares that Jericho continues. Second CBS Television, CBS Films and CBS Consumer Products are not going to waste their time putting out 3 issues of a comic book with a profit margin of 40 to 50 cents per issue unless there is a larger business purpose.
We have been seeing some things happening in the TV world most notably Nancy Tellem ,who was very pro Jericho, rumored to be going to NBC Universal. Bonnie Hammer who currently is in charge at USA Network will be picking up increased responsibilities within the NBC Universal world.
In addition, Junction is working on Common Law for USA and the Unseen being developed for A & E. As we all collectively directed letters to both Nancy Tellem and Bonnie Hammer, during our letter writing campaign, it is interesting to see that they may both be working at NBC Universal together.
My hope is that we all are enjoying issue #4 this Christmas.
Keep the Faith
