Jake Green
Meet the actor: Skeet Ulrich
Character Name: Johnston Jacob Green, Jr. (Jake)
He was born : 1/21/1200(You can see it when Hawkins's searching about Jake and he reads Jake's passport).
What we know about Jake breen:
Jake is the oldest son of Gail and Johnston Green (according to Eric Green's biography on the Character Bios Eric is listed as Jake's younger brother). He's been away from his hometown of Jericho, Kansas, for five years. He has lost touch with friends and has had a falling out with his father.
Jake left Jericho shortly after the bungled robbery that resulted in the death of Chris Prowse (Emily's younger brother). During his five years away, it seems that no one (apart from Gail) has been in contact with him.
The Spring Season trailer would have us believe that at some point in the recent past, Jake might have worked as a pilot. He allegedly spent 14 months in Afghanistan and 6 months in Iraq with one of the major contractors that are over there, such as Haliburton or Blackwater, as a pilot. That is unlikely considering the level of experience one needs to work for such firms. He did claim at one point, during the Rogue River episode, to have been a truck driver which is more believable. While he was in Iraq he claims he found out about Ravenwood mercenaries. It is still unclear which company he was employed by. It is still uncertain if he resigned or was let go due to an incident that happened overseas.
Also in the spring trailer he has let us know that he got his first knowledge of planes from being around his grandfather as a child and helping him out with his crop dusters. This could explain the accelerated flight skills necessary to graduate Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (Daytona Beach, Florida & Prescott, Arizona) and land work in the field of overseas flying within the time frame given.
He also mentioned being trained in some sort of military school when he completed the tracheotomy on the little girl. Robert Hawkins found information that indicates his passport is flagged by the State Department.
Jake is very close-mouthed about what happened in Afghanistan/Iraq. In "Heart of Winter" he divulges to his father that he killed a young girl (about 10 or 12 years old) while in Iraq, and that he's sorry, but doesn't say anything more. Later, he asks his father to forget about what he told him but Jonah says he can't do that. Jake, then falls apart in sobs (telling us that he did some things that are hard for him to talk about) and his father tells him that they can talk whenever he's ready. Johnston tells Jake that he too has been to war and understands what it can do to a person.
As a teen, Jake was mixed up with Emily Sullivan's estranged father Jonah Prowse which led to the death of her brother Chris. During this time, Jake and Emily were seeing each other up until the death of Emily's brother at which time Jake left town. Mitchell Cafferty was also involved in this job and went to prison because of it. On Jake's return to town Emily found out that she still has strong feelings for Jake.
Emily's dad said that she should make amends with Jake. After she started to reopen her feelings to Jake, she sees Roger entering the town.
Jake has a new role in the town-- he has to lead the townspeople into war after the tragic death of his father. He will also have to take care of his mother. He did that before but now she only has him and Eric.

Unconventional leader. Even though he has been gone for the past 5 years, he is
involved in almost every action made in town. While his father always sent for Eric, the townspeople seem to have a stronger bond to Jake.

Jake: "Not at the moment."
Episode 12: The Day Before
Jake: "How is he?" (referring to Roger)
Emily: "I think he's in shock."
Emily: "Look, Jake, um..."
Jake: "Go, he'll need you."
Episode 13: Black Jack
Heather: "Jake, we both know why it didn't work out between us. I'm not bad enough, and that's just how you tick."
Jake: "It's not."
Heather: "Yes, it is. If it weren't we would have never met on that bus."
Jake: "Just for a few days."
Heather: "Are you worried about me?"
Jake: "Come back in one piece." (hugs Heather)

(truck comes speeding towards their crashed vehicle)

Kenchy: "I don't care! I am not going through this anymore. It is madness!"
Jake: "And everyone here can just go to hell? Huh? If you stop trying and I stop, then they see that. And this whole thing falls apart. We're all leaning on each other here, whether you like it or not!"
Kenchy: "Promise me you are not saying that we are all connected! This is not some existential web of life b.s! That is not what I'm hearing, is it Jake?"
Jake: "Then tell me what you want to hear.Cause I'll say anything. If you'll just go back in there and keep trying."
Kenchy: "She's going to die."
Jake: "I know."
Romance:
Jake and Emily were an item in high school and he apparently proposed to her but they "knew enough not to go through with it." (Their song was "Nothing Compares 2 U" by Sinead O'Connor -- a good explanation of the relationship). Emily has a fiance, but Jake clearly still has feelings for her. Emily, obviously still has feelings for him, too. Making the situation even more complicated is a romantic interest from Heather Lisinski, whom Jake rescued (along with her class of students) in the pilot episode. Jake is beginning to return her affections.

Jake can't stop avoiding his feelings and kisses Emily in the season finale... trouble now that Heather is back and realizes that Jake loves Emily... This is a good kiss!

Before leaving for Rogue River to obtain needed medicine for his father, Jake was surprised when Heather gave him a little unexpected something to come back to... THIS IS A GREAT KISS!

Jake didn't take the job though because the company wanted to know what happened with his last employer and he would not divulge that information.

i dont think we no every thing ther is 2 no about jake yet. he's wild + exiting. not sure if he will stay in jericho, it may be a little tame 4 him, but on the other hand he's built a lot of bridges with his family + emily. these seem 2 be strong bonds, so he may stay.

I think Jake is not relationship material! He's very interesting, I don't know, I can't quite put my finger on him yet....If I was to guess, i'm thinking he was working for "some" US government institution - in Iraq and Afganistan...If he's not military, he's gotta be mercenary - tracking and killing potential "insurgents".....I'm hoping thats the case! Nuke the bastards!

what kind of car does Jake drive... make and model if you know it... i've been searching the net for a while but can't seem to find out. It's a beautiful car. thanks.
