Edgy, politically incorrect, challenging content has no place on "C" B.S., that's why cable is so successful, because they dish up tasty programming that the "McDonalds" networks of TV would not touch.
Bean counters rule as someone else wrote. Why not just let accountants write all TV programs and let them act too? Jericho was one of the most challenging, and relevant programs on television in many years. I have 3 new reasons to watch other channels. I had 5 reasons to watch "C" B.S. before: including The Unit, and Survivor Fiji. Even the majority opinion of Americans, and 75% of Iraq War Vets who are in favor of pulling out of the Iraqi civil war aren't enough to keep "C" B.S. from firing Iraq war hero, Gen. Batiste, who challenged Bush on the Iraq War:( Jericho was topical, well acted, well written, but interrupted with a long break for no reason. it co-starred an African-Britain, and other African-Americans which is all too rare on TV. How unique. I hope other networks pick this program up. Maybe HBO? Letterman's jibes at "CBS programmers" for being incompetent, or perhaps "monkeys" as he's quipped, is more relevant to me now. It was all inside baseball before. Jericho goes down the "memory hole." |

The least CBS, as a network, could have done was give the faithful followers of Jericho a little respect by offered them the closure of a Final Episode. I find it very odd that with the vast supporters of the Jericho show that there wasn’t a conclusion or even the warning of the shows cancellation. I mean REALLY who does that! Everyday we see advertisements on various networks announcing “Final Episode”, or “Season Finally” or ANTHING other than to just leave the viewers hanging; to find out when they turn on their sets it’s just not on. CBS need to offer Jericho fans the same respect that it affords its other shows and bring Jericho back for a proper send off!!
