5/16/07: This is not a shock to me. I am appalled, but not shocked. Jericho had a very strong political message, and people in power do not like strong political messages that go against their views. I would not be surprised if some network bigwig with ties to the Republican party pulled strings to stop the show mid season and then bring it back while Idol is on, thus effectively killing the ratings. Network bigwig censorship at its finest folks! BOYCOTT CBS!!!!

5/16/07: This is just disturbing not to mention infuriating. I know I was not swayed by American Idol and I know that a good number of other viewers were not swayed either. And in any case the show returns in the fall when there is no American Idol, and when it was getting great ratings, such as last year which prompted them to renew the 22 new episodes this year. No matter what show they try to put up against it, more than likely they are not going to dent AI's armor, so why punish Jericho for a failing at such a daunting task. LOST ABC's juggernaut show had to move time slots to avoid AI vicious attack on its rival's television's ratings. CBS needs to return to its senses and overturn this decision and bring Jericho back to the air till its LAST, FINAL AND CONCLUSION episode.

5/7/07: Jericho was doing real well and then along came the break in the season. Like most people, we get used to watching/taping shows on a particular night/time and then WHAM!! It up and changes! Either there's a break in the season or the network changes it to another night; why can't they just leave well enough alone?!! I only have 3 shows on television now that I watch regularly, Jericho, C.S.I., and Heroes. If CBS decides to mess this up, I'll NOT watch this network! PLEASE JUST LEAVE WELL ENOUGH ALONE!!!!! If you want something to compete with Idol THEN CREATE ANOTHER SHOW!!!!!

3/23/07: Thought for the day: True, CBS does insist on putting Jericho up against Idol, however, over the prior 5 seasons of Idol, networks know that their low ratings up against Idol are because of Idol and not non interest in the show. I do think that Jericho is leading the Wednesday night prime time line up for CBS. Keep reading my posts regarding weekly ratings. CBS is still #2 for the night starting with Jericho.

It's hard the support if CBS insist in put Jericho against American Idol. This is like help some one who tries to commit suicide giving him a gun.

"American Idol" booted its first finalist Wednesday, leading FOX to a ratings win and giving "'Til Death" its best ratings ever.

"Bones" returned to the FOX schedule at 8 p.m. and won the hour with a 6.4/11. NBC came in second with "Dateline," 5.8/10. "Jericho" was third for CBS with a 5.1/8. ABC's "George Lopez" and "According to Jim" finished fourth, topping "America's Next Top Model," 3.7/6, on The CW.

"American Idol," 15.9/25, and "'Til Death," 8.9/14, combined to keep FOX on top at 9 p.m. CBS moved up to second with a "Criminal Minds" rerun, 7.1/11. "Crossing Jordan" drew a 5.1/8 for NBC. A repeat of "Jim" and "In Case of Emergency" averaged 3.4/6 for ABC. The CW aired a repeat of "Search for the Next Doll."

"In return series news, CBS drama Jericho returned to the slate with disappointing results at 8 p.m. Jericho officially kicked-off the second half of its freshman season with a distant second-place finish in both total viewers (8.65 million) and adults 18-49 (2.4/ 6). Comparably, the first half of the season averaged 10.78 million viewers and a 3.3/ 9 among adults 18-49, based on the final nationals."
