Meet the actor: Timothy Omundson

Background:
The Sheriff, and acting city manager of nearby New Bern. In the past, was a friend of the Green family. It is mentioned that he even attended Eric's wedding.

What we know:

He comes to Jericho in episode 1.16 Winter's End to deliver the wind turbine and ends up making a deal - windmills in exchange for 700 lbs of Jericho's salt, 10 percent of the spring crop, and a labor force of 10 Jericho men to help build the windmills.

He was a guest at Eric and April's wedding - As mentioned by Johnston in Winter's End.

He's a little more than just "Sheriff". He's a warlord in the making, looking to carve himself a sphere of influence.

He's very stubborn and only sees one side to everything. This can be seen during negotiations with Mayor Anderson in Why We Fight

Though it is never brought up in the show, we can assume he is married by a scene in Reconstruction where he is shown as fidgeting with a wedding ring on his left hand.

Defining moment:
That long pause and look he gives Russell when negotiating for the wind turbine vs. the food/salt.
