My heart just breaks even more with each passing day. I am a 43 yr old married mother of three and this show has more real "family" moments in it than any of the proposed shows in CBS fall lineup combined. Do they really think these shows are what the viewers want? I can't stand the thought of any more stupid mind numbing non thought provoking brain dead tv than what is already out there. I am willing to sacrifice all my other CBS shows that I watch to block them off my tv with my parental control. I did this a couple of days ago and when CBS numbers go down, we all know what happens. What are the gonna do, cancel all the shows? Bring back our beloved Jericho before the numbers go so rock bottom that the executives at CBS are having to take pay cuts themselves to support their network, like that would ever happen. But it is the viewership that pays all the salaries for the execs so maybe when it hits their collective wallets, then they will listen.

Jericho is one of the best shows on TV, it stands alone with it's great story line. Why would you want to remove something fresh and exciting from a mediocre line-up. The only two shows that offer something different are Jericho and The Unit. Come on CBS get with it.

CBS is afraid of the upcoming writers strike. They replaced good 'real' drama with yet another bottom of the barrel low budget crap 'reality show'. There is only 1 reality show still doing great numbers and that is Idol on Fox, which CBS, it its nutty wisdom, left Jericho against all spring to loose more viewers. CBS and the rest of the networks have lost my viewership for continuing to cancel 'real' shows for more fluff. I say NUTS to you!

I am so sick of CBS. As long as I still breath I will no longer be watching anything on CBS or its affilliates! I encourage other to do so as well. Another great show cancelled thanks to CBS! Rot in hell CBS Executives. Maybe time for a good old fashioned boycott of CBS and anything afilliated with them. Record label, radio, artists. Show them the power is with the people. Not just who has a Nielson box!

I just found out that Jericho will not be coming back. I started to cry. Jericho is THE BEST SHOW EVER!! Now, I do not know what I'm going to do without it. I'm really really upset.

Not only did they cancel the show because they wanna shy away from serial epic dramas, consider the following:
A new show picked up is about 70 swingers Another show about kids who do things that will hurt them in the future This is quality programming by CBS standards? When was the last time any show got this kind of buzz after 1 season? Had such a loyal following from its fans? Carol Barbee was on an online talkshow recently when she made the comment that CBS execs stated that Jericho had the most loyal viewership they had ever witnessed. YET, CBS ignored this. CBS exec in charge of programming in an official statement by CBS about the cancellation stated that "a show should hold its viewership #'s even in the midst of a shows hiatus". CBS set us up to fail! 1)Split the show in 2 with no repeats or reminders 2)spring season starts up against AMERICAN IDOL of all shows! Someone at CBS doesnt know how program. IF the show was so bad, why were we allowed to get hooked on the show only to cancel it? She also stated that CBS would consider giving the show a FINALE episode, a one show special to conclude the show, but not till 09/10 season. We need to get away from CBS and go to a channel that doesnt hurt its loyal viewers. I will state that I will NEVER EVER watch CBS again. (sorry to ramble on and jump around topics but the cancellation of Jericho has had a profound negative effect on me - I am extremely troubled and hurt by this news. We can join together! We can save our show!) |

The reasoning behind CBS to cancel Jerico--because primetime TV is over-run by epic-drama is pathetic... Then I read about their proposed show about 70s swingers... and I'm struck with a wave of nausea just thinking about my parents--because this is from their era... and I'm sure people are probably in the same mind frame as me. I'm nearing 40... and people who are in their 20s... hey, this is their grandparents. This is the show that CBS is excited about bringing to the public in place of what we've already come to enjoy. Then there is some thing about a sugar plantation... sweet sweetwater, I cannot relate... I won't watch. It's that simple. Bad move CBS. Bring back JERICO.

I cannt blieve CBS is so anal!!! This why I dont watch these kinda shows some idot always cancels them when they start losing a few viewers. Why didnt they shuffle them around in the line up. Maybe they would gain a few viewers back and make us all happy by keeping a great show on T.V. At the very least we deserve and ending. PLEASE C>B>S> other wise your going to have a lot of P Oed people who might not choose to give cbs ratings .Maybe we should all boycott C.B.S

Please bring Jericho back. I don't understand why CBS can't seem to understand what their viewers really want to watch. I set my DVR for Jericho just in case I don't make it home in time to watch it. It is a great show. I watched Survivor for several seasons,,,,,,now it just bores me along with all the other "reality shows". Someone needs to give it a rest. My whole extended family and friends at work watch Jericho....I find it hard to believe the show dropped in ratings...what about Numbers? I started watching that show and believe me, it has been around long enough.

Whoever decided to cancel this show has no clue to what the viewing audience really likes. You know what? I wouldn't be a bit surprised if this show wasn't picked up by SciFi or another network that knows a good thing when they have it!!
