Meet the actor: Dustin Seavey


Background:
A childhood friend of Heather's - who she reconnects with at the Black Jack Fairgrounds in ep 1.13, Black Jack.

What We Know:
Ted appears to be one of the good guys. Though he is told to lie to Jake about Eric and Heather's whereabouts, he slips Jake a note telling him to meet up with him later to get the true story.

Heather seems to have been living with Ted as he mentions she left his house the morning she disappeared.

When Hawkins tries to get him to help break Eric and Jake out of jail, he is very weary of the thought of shooting anyone. He admits that he has only ever shot a few rabbits. Eventually he runs off leaving Hawkins and Maggie to orchestrate the break out.

Ted has a more compromising, go-along-with-whatever kind of personality than say, Russel. However, he cares about Jericho's citizens and about Heather and certainly will not stand for New Bern's lies. Ted is not especially talkative, and seems to want to avoid violence. (As stated above, he hates the thought of shooting anybody--who doesn't?--and looks quite disconcerted when Hawkins threatens to torture the New Bern guard.) Ted is considerate (he doesn't want Maggie to see the dead cops) but doesn't always think things through as Hawkins would have him. (AKA, saying Hawkins' name out loud when someone could have heard it and reported it to Constantino. Though he doesn't have much experience with guns, overall he's got as much gut as Russel.

What We Don't Know:
Did he have advance knowledge of New Bern's plans?
Were her and Heather ever (or currently) romantically linked?
Did he have anything to do with Heather leaving New Bern? Did he help plan her 'escape'?

It is unknown whether Ted has any family currently in New Bern though it seems that he did at some point; he hides at his Uncle's cabin.
