Cox Said Near Agreement to Carry Viacom's Epix Channel in 2010 December 11, 2009

The ARG game seems to be in play so if you can check out the comlink thread [see ARG announcement for links].

We are looking to get sales figures for the comic and to get rankings and have asked the folks at DDP and our own Ichtus and Denny Wilson to help us out.

I understand that some have been upset by issues with mailing of the comic. As this is the busiest part of the year for mail, I am sure that is why they have delayed issue 2 to the first week of January.

I know there is a light at the end of the tunnel. With Junction and CBS still actively involved in the promotion and production of the comic, something bigger is just over the horizon.

Hello Fellow Rangers

Well the Issue 1, of the Jericho Comic, Season 3 has finally arrived and the people I have heard from love the comic and can't wait for the next issues to arrive.

We understand from Sam, at DDP, that there was an issue with the post office due to heavy holiday volume, so many have not yet received their mailed copies. Sam has also informed us that the second issue release date will be tentatively scheduled for the first week of January (after the holidays).

The second phase of Operation Comic Book has commenced. We need to provide feedback to CBS and DDP and let them know who we are, a brief statement about our age, where we live and what we think about the first issue.

As we did previously during Operation Phoenix we want to make sure that we are giving back critical demographic information to the bean counters and decision makers. This past year we did that by utilizing the CBS and the CW Feedback forms located on their respective websites. Now we are going to do this by leaving demographic information on the DDP Jericho Forum and by sending the Comment Card, created by our own K6, to CBS.

Comment Cards will be available on http:///www.SavingJericho.com by Monday. Look under the Save Jericho Effort section.

Latest Epix article says deals possible by early 2010, which coincides with the next comic release:

Mark Greenberg, President and Chief Executive Officer of Epix, said he is "pretty confident" that another deal will soon be in place, possibly within the next several weeks.

Speaking at the Reuters Global Media Summit in New York, Greenberg added, "If a deal slides from this year to early next year that's fine by us. It's more important to get the deals right because the deals last for three to five years."

Greenberg said Epix is having "meaningful discussions" with Dish Network and other carriers, mainly on the satellite and cable side of the business.

He said the economy was partly to blame for the delay in striking deals. "Certainly the recession has an impact because people are being careful how they spend money," he said.

We still believe that the movie and possibly a continuation of the series will involve Epix. We continue to monitor the news releases to watch what is unfolding with Epix.

Lastly, look for more preview pages to pop up on various fan group pages just prior to the release of issue two.

We will be running the Jericho Fan Tables at conventions/shows next year and we are already scheduled at some of the West Coast Cons.

Margo ran the Jericho Fan Table at OryCon last weekend, and she reported:
"Most fans loved the show and were disappointed it went off the air. Some were glad it was continuing in the comic and that the movie is being planned."

Kitty's TV Reminders
On Saturdays, there only two episodes left to the season 4 finale of "Dexter" (HBO). James Remar (Jonah Prowse) plays Dexter's dead stepfather.

Unfortunately "Three Rivers" (CBS) (Carol Barbee, Executive Producer) has been canceled. CBS says it is committed to finishing the remaining five episodes though no dates have been announced. "Three Rivers" was on Sundays.

Bob Stephenson's (Jimmy Taylor) show "The Forgotten" is on Tuesdays on ABC.

Skeet Ulrich's (Jake Green) movie has opened on December 4th....

Operation Phoenix Update

Hello Fellow Rangers

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and those who have received/purchased the comic book have not been disappointed.

Gwen and I continue to monitor the internet and media sources regarding the Epix Channel and the possible Jericho Movie. We need to continue to get people to watch Jericho and purchase the comic book.

Thanks to Jericho Rangers 4 Our Troops. They have raised enough money to date to send 70 plus sets of the comics to soldiers serving in Iraq and Afghanistan,

We continue to believe that something bigger than just the comic book is coming in the near future. We need to continue to Keep the Faith and get the word out.

As a result of these contributions and thegenerous pricing of 50% off the cover price, made availableby DDP Publishing, the$854 collected to date for this specific effort enableda purchasetoday of 432 issues,(72 full six-issue sets)of The Jericho "Season 3" Comic Series. These comics will be shipped to Iraq and Afghanistan via Staten Island Project Homefront, to be enjoyed and shared by our deployed service men and women .

Thank you again for your time on the telephone this morning and for the generosity that you and DDP have given to better the efforts that will benefit our deployed military. As discussed, we are purchasing 432 issues of the Jericho Comic that will comprise 72 complete subscription sets of 6 issues each. From your generous discount that will provide a $1.98 cost per issue ($11.88 per set), I calculate our total to be $855.36.

The assistance and pricing generosity that you provided to JR4OT with the "Comics For Troops" effort will be directly instrumental in bringing some temporary relief and escape for our deployed military.

The comics can be shipped directly to Staten Island Project Homefront, Attention: Deborah Parsons, 2205 Richmond Rd. , Staten Island , NY 10306

The next packing date at SIPH is December 29, 2009 (to be shipped overseas on January 7, 2010), so, if it's more cost effective, as the issues are released, they can be held and shipped together to arrive just prior to that. Should later dates be needed to accommodate later release dates, the next packing/deadline dates are Feb. 9th then March 4th.

Operation Phoenix Update November 20, 2009 Hello Fellow Rangers Today marks the one year Anniversary that we launched Operation Phoenix in conjunction with CBS putting Jericho on the CW for the full 29 Episode run. The comic book is due out on November 25th which will continue the Jericho story in written form. I know it is not what most hoped for when launched this last year. The week prior to launching Phoenix a group of about 30 Rangers put together a plan to reach out to all major news papers, websites and community sights to get people to watch Jericho on line at cbs.com, Joost and Youtube. Without out the collective efforts and spirit of cooperation the Comic Book would not be coming out this week. Every Ranger out there should take stock in the fact that they did make a difference. Jericho continues to live because the Fans refused to allow CBS to kill off the show. What lies ahead for Jericho, whether it is a theatrical movie or a miniseries, movie and/or full series on epix, has only been made possible because of the collective efforts of every fan. There are many different kinds of Fans and Fan Groups out there as there is in any facet of life, but for the most part we have been able to set aside our differences for the greater good. I hope that this Wednesday is just the first step in many towards a greater fate for our beloved Jericho. I want to thank everyone who has worked so hard since March of 2008 to keep Jericho alive. Gwen, K6, Myvibes, Denny, Ichtus, Windsorguy, Krzykity, Sand Bagger at Wiki, Jim, Lee, and Beebull, thanks for everything you have done to promote the comic, and keep the fires burning.

Devils Due Publishing is also offering a Grand Prize for the Preview Hunt. One of the six daily winners will receive a signed copy of the Jericho Collector's Preview (Ashcan). This was signed at Comic Con by the show's producers and writers.

Here is a short summary of some of the items discussed:

All of the creative team were involved with the comic, including Carol Barbee and Jon Turteltaub.

A lot of the story will take place in Jericho, so pictures of the sets (buildings and street set) were sent to DDP, so that the comic book will look more like the show.

All of our favorite characters are included in the comic. A new family member will be introduced.

There will be some new characters, including a new villain.

CBS has been supportive of the comic and want the story to move forward.

There is still hope for a movie.

Dan's last comment - Buy the six issue comic, there will be more to come.

Jericho Fan Tables

There was a Jericho Fan Table at Tuscon36 on 11/13-11/15, run by Andrew Slattery. Andrew reported:
"I was seated in the "dealers room" for a few hours as I arrived early for the "meet the fans" portion of the convention. Aside from the poor condition of the convention rooms and small allocations, about half of the participants stopped by. Several fans of the show hung around to discuss the future of the concept, and a handful of people that disliked the show debated with me over it's "sci-fi qualifications". All in all the business cards were successful, almost everyone that stopped by took one (or more to share with fans they know)."

There will be some special preview pages posted next week. They will be posted on some of the Jericho boards and you will need to check the different boards in order to find the preview page.

JKI will be offering a prize to the first fan who finds the location of the daily preview page.

WHTJ Weekend of Memories DVD

Dear Jericho Ranger,

The lengthy delay with shipping the WHTJ Weekend of Memories DVD has been because of possible litigation. Unfortunately, the litigation has advanced to the next level. Due to the impending litigation, we regret to inform you we will not be able to ship the WHTJ Weekend of Memories DVD.

A refund will be possible by request only. Attendees who paid by credit card through registration will require a refund by check. Individuals who ordered the DVD and paid by paypal will receive their refund through paypal. Refunds will be in the amount of $14.00 for individual paypal orders and $14.00 per family who attended.

If you desire a refund, please email me, Steve Wood, at scoobud3@cox.net and put REQUEST REFUND in the subject line. Requests for refunds must be received by me no later than December 31, 2009. You may also request your $14.00 be donated to Operation Homefront or Jericho Comics for the Troops.

Hello Fellow Rangers:

With comic book launch, now set for November 25, 2009, we are now 19 days away from the release of Season 3: Jericho Comic.

We are waiting to see when DDP will start promoting the Jericho Pages on the various Fan sites. We understand that the art work, etc. is being reviewed by CBS and then will be released to us.

With that said, we want to not lose site on the future of Jericho, whether it be a movie or a return to television, as a series on EPIX. Epix launched, on October 30, 2009, and they are still working on finalizing deals with 4 additional carriers, in addition to Verizon FIOS that currently are being shown on.

Again we are asking people if they can take a few minutes and mail just one letter or post card and send 1 email to Epix.

We want them to know we are still here and still interested in seeing Jericho on Epix. We are just running this through next Friday, November 13th, 2009.

Hello Fellow Rangers

Yesterday we received a message via the DDP Jericho Forum that the Comic Book has be delayed until Friday, November 27, 2009. http://jerichocomic.squarespace.com/

I know many of you are disappointed or upset about the date being pushed back. But we need to keep things in perspective. Last year at this time, Jericho was dead in the water. Talks had broken down with Comcast and the end was in sight. Then in November of 2008 CBS actually gave us an early Christmas present as Jericho was put on the CW for a 29 week run and as we know, from the producers, they were very pleased with the ratings.

Over the past 19 months we have put articles in Variety and the Hollywood Reporter, produced and aired our own TV commercial, put up a billboard in LA, shelled Nielsen's Offices in Tampa and ensured that CBS and EPIX received more mail than Santa Clause. All of this was accomplished by individuals doing their small part, some sent post cards or letters, some sent emails, some contributed money to the TV ad of bill board. But this was and is a collect team effort co-ordinated over the internet. We truly have contributed to the transformation of television.

The comic book was announce early this Spring and it built up momentum in July at Comic Con in San Diego. All the while new fans were discovering Jericho and Rangers throughout North America and across the globe continued to get the word out about this amazing television show.

Right now we have 5 weeks to the comic launch. This is the first new Jericho related storyline product whether it be a TV show, movie or book to come out since March of 2008.

If it had not been for each and every one of us out there in the Jericho Fandom doing our small part, this would never have happened. We have waged a long and hard fought battle with one of the largest corporations in America and we have made them take time, reflect and take Jericho out of the wast- basket and look to see if it is worth producing

Epix just announced this week their intention to produce original scripted programming each quarter, be it mini series or 13 episodes dramas. We have an original show with a built in audience that continues to grow despite CBS's best efforts to kill it.

DDP is looking for our help to promote the Jericho Comic Book over the next 5 weeks. All of Us collectively can actually help get a movie and possibly our show back on the air but we need to continue to have faith and tap what ever reserve we have as we head into the stretch run.

I am asking that we come together and work with the DDP representatives and drive this sled over the finish-line. I am convinced we will be rewarded for our hard work and perserverance.

We have finally received confirmation that Epix channel launches on Friday, October 30, 2009. In addition, we maybe only 2 weeks away from the release of the Comic Book on October 28, 2009 as well.

Our last contact from the DDP representative was that they are still working on the art work and storyline for the comic and it may not arrive in stores on October 28th. We are trying to get the DDP person to get us a firm date for the release.

Devil's Due Publishing has been kind enough to have provided a Forum for the Jericho Season 3 -- Civil War comic book. This is something they haven't done for any of their other titles. It would be nice if we would show DDP our support for them and Jericho if we could generate some discussions and speculations on the upcoming issues. I know we all have questions about what happened after Jake and Hawkins delivered the bomb to Texas. Where did the bomb go from there? What are Jake and Hawkins doing now? What happen to Beck after his betrayal of the ASA? Most important, what happen to Jericho?

Hello Fellow Rangers

October is here so what does that mean for Jericho?

Laverne McKinnon was just hired by Epix to develop original scripted shows. She was at CBS up to 2006 when she left for family reasons but most importantly worked on the pilot of a little show called Jericho while at CBS.

Epix was originally scheduled to launch the first week of October but that time table has been pushed back to the end of October. Right now Epix has announced a carriage deal with Verizon Fios with several other deals reported to be forthcoming.

I think a key section from the article is: "A rep for Epix declined comment Tuesday, but McKinnon reportedly has already been working behind the scenes at the company, a joint venture of Viacom, Lionsgate and MGM". Until now most of the press information being released dealt with feature films and not original programming.

The producers at Junction just inked a new 2 year deal to develop original shows for CBS Television this despite Jericho being cancelled twice, Swingtown and Harper's Island being cancelled after one season.

Skeet Ulrich, Mr. Jake Green appears to still have some type of CBS contract in place some 18 months after the cancellation as he started tonight on his 3 episode run on CSI New York.

Our old friend, Nancy Tellem, current President of CBS Television is rumored to be considering moving to the business side of CBS Corp. From LA Times today: She has been talking to Moonves for the last several months about easing out of her current job in favor of a broader role that would allow her to become something of a troubleshooter for the company focusing on content and distribution challenges.

There seems to be a ARG type game ongoing with comlink which has a thread on the UHD Board and which on September 21, the Board along with it's countdown clock all the sudden became password protected.

The comic book is currently scheduled to come out at the end of October. Our DDP Liaison has stated to me several times that they have not confirmed October 28th as the official release date that too could be pushed back.

CBS is spending money on developing, producing and distributing the comic book, in the worse economy since the great Depression, including building a web page on the DDP site dedicated exclusively to the Jericho comic book.

All of these things taken separately look like they are isolated events, mutually exclusive of each other. But looking at what we have seen since last November when we launched Operation Phoenix and CBS put all 29 episodes on the CW, the evidence continues to mount that Jericho is destined to reappear as a movie or series. We still believe the evidence points towards Epix we hope as a TV movie then Season 4 taking off from where the comic leads off.

Beebull is going to attend the Baltimore Comic con this weekend, October 9 and 10. They are expecting over 10,000 people to attend the con and Beebull will be walking around spreading the news. This past weekend Ratkeeper, Jim4jericho and several others attended the Silicon Valley con which was small but afforded our rangers to spread the word and gain new recruits. We need to continue to attend these types of events, and get posters and post cards up everywhere and anywhere we can. I honestly think we are in the home stretch and that something good is finally coming our way.

Ichthus, who is a terrific Ranger, made a great point this morning, another key to driving interest in the comic is to get people to go to the DDP forum and get discussions going on what we think the storyline will look like. We need to remember that we all got involved because we liked Jericho. for the entertainment it provided us, and for many the community that developed around the show.

Operation Comic Book Update
October 1, 2009 Hello Fellow Rangers, October is finally here and the long wait for the comic book and possibly word on the movie and/or Jericho launching with the new Epix Channel is finally here. Why do we continue to fight on some 18 months after the show was canceled by CBS? It is a logical question. Back in January, Jon Turteltaub announced, after months of silence, that a movie was in the works. We then had the run of all 29 episodes on the CW and we launched operation Phoenix to get the word out and to get people watching the show and writing to CBS and Epix. We found out at Comic Con, from Dan Shotz, that they were very much aware of the ratings and were both surprised and pleased with how well the show did. We also found out, from our team at Comic Con, that the folks from Junction and CBS were literally blown away by the fan interest in the comic book, and the numbers that attended the panel discussion and stopped by the DDP booth in San Diego . Ratkeeper and I have had several communications with a contact from DDP, who is trying to co-ordinate with the fans regarding the comic book. On September 21, 2009,the DDP site took down the subscription links for the 5 and 6 bundled issues. Ratkeeper received a note today that there has been an incredible response to Jericho , and that DDP feels it is due, in large part, to the Fans efforts to spread the word about the comic. DDP has said they are building a new platform to handle the increased volume. We know that on September 21, 2009, it was announced that Jon Turteltaub's Junction Entertainment signed a two-year overall deal extension at CBS Television Studios to develop series for the Eye. Why we feel that Jericho is still very much alive is simple, money. Right now in this economy, why is CBS investing money and time in producing a comic book, when most of the networks are producing reality shows which are very cheap to make and produce good returns on investment. Think about your own situations out there both personally and professionally. Everyone is cutting back, businesses are laying off people, many of us are now paying cash for items, and are doing without non-essential items. No one is going to invest money and time into just a comic book, especially during the worst economic downturn since WWII, unless there is something else tied to the comic book such as a movie or continuation of the show. We have been doing Google Searches the past month to see where people are talking about Jericho and the comic book. Surprisingly we continue to see new forums with fresh threads and discussion about Jericho and Season 3 the comic. Many think it is coming back direct to CBS on television and not as a comic book. We need to continue to drive towards the finish line by continuing to get the word out as we have been doing since Operation Comic Book was launched (check out thread at UHD Board)

Jericho Halloween Murder Mystery
California Ranger Event

It's been 13 months since the September attacks. Life in Jericho is rough and it has been hard to keep spirits up. The little news we receive says civil war is approaching. Major Beck, his men and the rangers have been fortifying the town. Sentry duty is a now a shared responsibility in which all able body citizens participate.

As another Halloween draws near, Gail Green has decided to host a Halloween Party at the Jericho Lodge. Everyone is excited to have a reason to celebrate and costume planning has become the talk of the town.

The day before the party, the town is stunned to find that Old Man Oliver has died a heinous death under the most bizarre circumstances. All sorts of odd clues are showing up and we really need Jake and Hawkins back to figure this out.

Come join us at the Jericho Lodge as we uncover the hints needed to solve the murder!

Date: Sunday,November 1st
Time: 1 p.m. -- 7 p.m.
Location: Jericho Lodge (San Francisco East Bay)
Dress: Costumes encouraged, but not required

This is not the typical murder mystery, in which you need to play a character. Instead you will be trying to aquire hint cards and you solve the mystery by collecting the hints.

Old Man Oliver led a very interesting life and his knowledge about survival and post-apocalyptic life was equal to Hawkins. Alas, Oliver was too phobic, about alien invasions, to help Jericho in it's ti me of need. As we delve into Oliver's past, you will learn a little of what he did and see how broad his knowledge base was. You in turn will take that knowledge and apply it to acquire the hint cards you will need to solve the mystery of Oliver's murder

Operation Comic Book Update

Hello Fellow Rangers,

I can not believe a week has passed since the East Coast Ranger Gathering in Baltimore. Lee and Beebull from the UHD Board did a terrific job putting together a great program. We had 22 people total come together filled with great times at the Hilton Garden Inn, to the Baltimore Inner Harbor to going to the Redsox v. Oriels game at Camden yards. I can not tell you what a wonderful time I had meeting so many nice people from as far away as California and Edmonton, Alberta Canada to Beebull and John, both locals of Baltimore.

As we mentioned several months back, one of the best ways we can hold on to and grow the Jericho community is to plan more of these types of local and Regional get-togethers so people have a chance to have some fun and meet people they have meet online. If you are planning a local gathering and would like some help with ideas you can always post on the Save Jericho! Facebook Page, at the UHD Board and we can try and help you out.

October is now less than a week away and that means we are in the home stretch before the comic book for Jericho Season 3 is finally out. We have the final big push to get the word out, get posters up in local community boards at libraries, supermarkets and book stores and download post cards and leave them at local comic book stores.

We still believe that a movie or something similar is in the works. We know the producers were extremely happy with the fan booth at Comic Con and the numbers of Ashcans that were scooped up. Junction just renewed their deal to continue to working with CBS Television Studios for two more years. Epix is set to launch within the next couple of weeks and our DDP contact continues to work with us and pass on our information and ideas to CBS.

No matter where you call home, the Jericho Fandom continues on with the same goal to make sure the story continues and we get our show back. It has been a long journey since May 2007 but many have stayed on the path and many new people have discovered Jericho online or by borrowing someone's DVD set. The journey will be worth it. The comic book is the first step towards the finish line of that journey.

1. Tell your family, friends and co-workers about the Jericho 3rd season comic and the effort to bring Jericho to the big screen.
2. Put the information in your e-mail signature and/or forum signatures.
3. Spend some time on a social media site (Facebook, Twitter, MySpace or LiveJournal) spreading the word about Jericho.
4. Search out areas of interest that may have Jericho fans and give them the information (survival, post-apocalyptic, sci fi, are just a few areas to look into). Look for in-person and on-line groups.

First I, like millions of Americans, want to take this time to pay respect to those who lost their lives on 9/11/01 and pray for all the families and friends left behind. May we never forget that day and what it cost us.
The Rangers from all over the country and Canada will be descending on Baltimore one week from tonight, we hope it will be a fun weekend and one where friendships are renewed and new ones begin.
October is the launch date for the Jericho comic book. We need everyone to start the final push to get people to go out and buy the comic.

If pre-ordering now is a hardship, then there are other ways to get the first issue. Each store will order some of the comics to stock their shelves. (The pre-orders determine how many they will buy for stock.) There are some companies that will do mail orders. These are all first come first serve options.

Will there be enough issues for everyone? NO! Comics don't get restocked like books or DVDs. If you want to buy an issue at a reasonable price, then your best bet is to pre-order ASAP!

When the issue sells out, then you will see copies sold on E-Bay and Amazon stores and you will have to pay a premium price to get an issue.

Everyone who can please pre-order now, so that very few Jericho fans will have to pay those premium prices!!!

Biography:
Sprague Grayden began performing at age five, appearing in commercials, the film "Dad" (with Jack Lemmon), and local plays, including "Strong Man's Weak Child," written and directed by Israel Horowitz. She was also a member of a popular youth Shakespeare group that performed in parks around Massachusetts. With the Rebel Shakespeare Company, Sprague appeared in lead roles in A Midsummer Night's Dream, As You Like It, and The Tempest.

This comment from a classmate: "She was pretty popular in high school, and many of us 'drama geeks' looked up to her. Her parents owned a restaurant in town ("Ben Sprague's") that was named after her and her brother. She did quite a bit of modeling in the Boston area, too. Both her parents are involved in education, and are very well-loved in the community."

While attending college in New York, Grayden became a member of the Off Broadway company Drama Dept. She read the lead role in "Little Diva," a public screenplay reading at Drama Dept. Her additional theater credits include "The Vagina Monologues," "Fool for Love" and "Waiting for Lefty."

After receiving a B.A. cum laude in American studies from Barnard College at Columbia University, Grayden returned to her roots and began pounding the New York City pavements looking for theatrical work, but soon found significant work in television.

Her breakthrough role was as the quirky Karen Kawalski in the short-lived series "John Doe." She also played war wife Terry Ryder in Steven Bochco's "Over There," and bad girl Anita Miller in "Six Feet Under," and had a recurring part as Judith Montgomery on "Joan of Arcadia." East Coast Ranger Gathering

The East Coast Gathering in Baltimore, MD is scheduled for September 18-20. It is sure to be a once in a lifetime event. Operation Comic Book

Hello Fellow Rangers. Hope you are all enjoying the summer. Before you know it summer will be gone and Fall will arrive. The Jericho Comic Book titled Season 3 will release 6 comic books in the series starting in late October.
I just wanted to provide an update for the Fandom. I was watching the movie Gandhi last weekend. It starts with Gandhi arriving back to India in 1915 and we follow him and the struggle for 32 years until the British walked out of India in 1947 as Gandhi had predicted to the Royal Governor some 25 years prior to 1947.
Why I mention Gandhi is it had several parallels to our fight for Jericho. First and foremost is that similar to the India's fight against the British Empire we have been battling for a long time against a very powerful foe, CBS Television. The Indians won because they stayed the course and hurt the British where it counted most, in the pocket book. Losing access to 300 million customers for everything from clothing to tea to home goods, drained the British economy and eventually the decision to leave was their only option.
We are going to do the same thing in reverse. We already know via the producers' statements at Comic Con, in San Diego, on July 24th that they were very pleased with the ratings on the CW for the 29 episode rerun. Now we need to deliver sales of the comic beyond that magic number they need to justify green-lighting the movie. We want to drive sales, add new rangers and deliver cards and letters to CBS and DDP come October leaving no doubt that there is still plenty of money to be made continuing the Jericho story.
Ratkeeper was at comic con and she says that the producers and the person form CBS were extremely happy with the turnout. In addition, please note that the comic book has been titled Season 3 which leads to the logical assumption that there may be a Season 4, we do not know if it will be a movie or maybe more.
To that end we will get the movie and possibly another season of Jericho on television only if we deliver sales of the comic series that meet or exceed the sales goals set forth by the bean counters and executives at CBS. We have a real shot and we want to maximize our chances by being as proactive as possible.

The main way to deliver sales and to build interest is to purchase and/or pre-order the comic book form your local comic book store. You can locate your local comic shop at www.comicshoplocator.com.

This is important because it helps us continue to build the Jericho grass roots efforts and also drives DDP and CBS to make and distribute more issues if they see demand coming from comic shops all over the US and Canada. Another way to help is to work with Jericho Rangers for Our Troops (JR4OT) and Jericho 4 Kids is once again working to promote Jericho and help our troops over seas. For those who want to contribute to that effort please visit www.comicsfortroops.com. You can also go to www.savingjericho.com which is the new informational website designed to help new fans and old to locate the various fan communities and to what they can do to promote Jericho and help with the comic book. Building the Jericho fanbase from the ground up starts at places like UHD Baord, IDMB, JKI, Jericho Rally Point and Radio Free Jericho. Maybei and the Folks at www.radiofreejericho.com have been promoting Jericho for almost 3 years with things like podcasts, interviews and having a very active fan group that have continued to stay together some 16 months after the 2nd temporary cancellation. Finding ways to keep people interested without spending a lot of money is a key element to continuing to build our fanbase　　 Soon we will be sending out a blast email to Rangers via email, Facebook, on Twitter and through other social networks all letting them know about Operation Comic Book and how they can help. Advertising: Beebull has been very proactive and has had several discussions with local shop owners in Baltimore. They state that making postcard size advertising and leaving them around the shops to be picked up is the best approach and we are working on securing a site where people can go and down load Jericho Comic book postcard art work to leave at their local shops.

We are looking to secure Fan tables at various comic cons and scifi conventions and once we do, we will be looking for volunteers to work the tables. We have all traveled a long road together, and whatever we can do over the next couple months will collectively bring us over the finish line. Jericho Fans Ask For Your Help In Sending Some "Comic Relief" To Our Troops!

In October 2009, DDP Publishing will release the anxiously awaited "Jericho Season 3" Comic Book.

The "Comics For Troops" project site has been created to allow fans, and anyone wishing to send some love to our brave deployed men and women, the ability to pool their donations in order to send off copies of the comic to them. It is with our hope that by providing them with this bit of entertainment it brightens their time just a little while they serve our country overseas.

As the comic has a planned release date of October 2009, all donations made through that date will be pooled together and held in the JR4OT, Inc.( http://www.jr4ot.org/) paypal account and used to purchase the Jericho Comic Book in bulk on its release. The purchase will be made from a source that offers the best per issue price and from one that is measurable so the volume purchase will be noticed most.
