Columbus and New York
There were two missiles launched, there were two targets not destroyed. Shortly after, Hawkins asks "ours or theirs" concerning the targets. If you look at the trajectories of the missiles in the screen cap, you can see that they are both heading to the east from a location most likely in Wyoming or a nearby area. One is headed farther to the east, which is why its altitude is much higher. New York is a few hundred miles east of Columbus.

Destination of balistic rockets
When comparing shot from "Federal Response" episode and map on CBS site we can see, that the rockets are headed east (if map isn't rotated). What does it mean? Their destination probably is not North Korea, China nor J
