I like the relationships between the people. Especially the long term friendships between Jake and Emily and Jake and Sanley. This is what small towns used to be like ( I am small town, rural America) and that way of like is dying, Maybe that is what some people don't get about Jericho. They don't understand that relationships like that really do exhist. That's why I am still here, why I keep wanting and hoping for more. Nothing else on TV satisfies me.

In the logical chain of correlated events that would have occurred in the aftermath of the nuclear attacks, the Obama Administration would not even exist on "Jericho" because Barack Obama, as a Senator from Illinois, would have been killed in the nuclear attack in Washington, D.C., while attending the emergency joint session of the United States Congress about a rise in global violence in September of 2006.
Should the “Jericho” writers consider finding a way to have kept Obama out of Washington, D.C. on that fateful day back in September, 2006 to allow him to become the current President of the United States on "Jericho" as well ( Hawkins would be so proud!) or allow him to have died as a Senator from Illinois? What do you think? And how would you have had Barack Obama survive the attacks? Any suggestions?

Who do you people think that governs US? The politicians? They are the ones that are tainted by corrupt COMPANIES. Why do you think that the economy is in such a big disaster? Cause the leading companies in US have invested money in things other than their own products and thei employees. It is sad to not see this show on TV but maybe the producers can make it available online somewhere and I am pretty sure that posting it on youtube or on any other major viewed website they will have the attention that they need. This show was made to open peoples eyes! BUt apparently those eyes have been shut once again by the reigning power in this country: TH LEADING COMPANIES! Which company do you think it would sponsor such TV show? NONE because people would thik more and not buy their products or people would start to think about how they will be able to survive such a thing. I believe that not only with a show WE can open peoples eyes about what MAY COME and what WILL COME in the near future! LETS OPEN PEOPLES EYES! WE CAN NOT LET GO OF OUR COUNTRY, OUR PEOPLE< OUR PLANET!

I just happened to go to the CBS site today. They have Jericho listed along with other Classics that you can watch online. I don't recall anything with Jericho on there for a while. Maybe if we start rewatching the episodes online they'll get the hint that we want more.

CBS is starting a new reality show (Another one!!!!) called There Goes the Neighborhood. People live in a house with no phones, no TV and no electricty. Sounds a little like a certain town in Kansas before Beck and Co arrived and got things going again. Am I going to watch? No way.

Hey y'all, I thought I'd start a new topic to try and get people chatting about the amazing CHARACTERS again. I tried posting this on JRP and got no repsonse whatesoever even though it's been a week.
Now we all know that at heart, Hawkins is extremely heroic and moral, loving freedom and patriotism more than anything. But I can't ingore the fact that he had taken many risks and done many "immoral" things in an effort to help the greater good. He shot that FBI kid, and i perosnally thought that was reasonable *can't believe I'm saying that!!!* given the situation. But some of Hawkins' actions do seem unnecessay, such as burning that house in "Oversight" and killing an innocent in doing so. Being the genius we know he is, couldn't he have found another way to pass the information to Beck without burning somebody to death in their bed? Also the question of killing Constantino (2.1) raises a lot of interesting thought. The different viewpoints of the characters is interesting...Eric is too angry to care about morality, Hawkins does not see anything wrong with revenge killing except that it could potentially blow his own cover and that of Jake's, while Beck and presumably Johnston believe that revenge killing is totally wrong. It's an age-old question, and very controversial I think. What do you all think? |

Baltimore is like Fenway Park South, Redsox Fans swarm to Camden Yards to watch the games so the tickets will go fast. This promises to be a great time. So who is In? |

Jericho, as it was, does not need to go any further. What I would like to see is a reboot of the story focussing more on the plot to blow up all the cities
that got bombed, and how the conspiracy came to be and how Hawkins and his other folks try to bring it down. The bomb is now in Texas, so Jericho really is irrelevant to the story now. I would like to see how Hawkins and Jake would be able to expose the plot, and bring those who are guilty to justice, or death. It could be something more along the lines of '24'. They could go back, and tell how the conspiracy started, how Hawkins got involved, and focus more on the action, intrigue, and talk about how Texas fights with the Cheyenne government. The one thing that I haven't pieced together is whether Dallas and Houston were able to survive or not. I don't think they ever named the city that Jake flew to after the two fighter planes from Texas intervened and shot down the Cheyenne planes. Being from Ohio, I have to say that having Columbus spared and identified as a seat of the government was a nice touch. Maybe they could go into that angle a little more also. I like the character of Hawkins, and Lennie plays him really well. I would love to see more of his story. A suggestion for a new title of the show? How about simply 'Hawkins: Covert Ops'? I resisted the impulse to suggest 'Jake and the Black Man'. LOL

I don't know how many of you have been contacted or will be in the near future, but Nielsen recently sent me, out of the blue since they've never contacted me before, a survey about tv programming. In the "comments" section I talked about "Jericho" and the need to track the number of actual viewers. If any of you get this in the mail, showing them that the Jericho community has not forgotten might get someone to notice.
Also be sure to watch on CW Sunday evenings. Check your local listings for the time. In the Central Time Zone it is on at 6pm, though sometimes they bump it to 5:30 and start their movie a half hour early.

hello people i am a 53 year old female army brat. i would to save jericho its the best. but has any one stoped to think that may be the show is hiting to close to home?our government puts gauge orders out on a lot of things we dont no about.on what thay think we cant handel. we elder people lol were told to stop, drop and role. fact is our kids havent even ben told that. this show can help us teach our kids how to help themselfs and others if it did happen. it is not about ratings who cars if a star can dance or if some one can eat a bug. reality!!!!!!!!!! bigbrother and" im not talking about the tv show "is every were in our schools on our money pertty much every were. even on how to handel our kids. in my day i wouldnt get away with most of what our kids can .isnt that sad ? its turning in to a world of indifference. i think we live in a unique country! and there are people out there that want to take that away from us. point is will we let them? we'v ben lazy that has to stop. we have to take back !. i think this show is about taking back. has any one read nostradamus he predicts the new world will be taken from within in this century. i think it has already started. we need to be prepared as a people. he even predicted the twin towers. it makes you think about alot of things. is cbs being gauged! we no its not the ratings. i want to thank you for listning to my ramblings. forgive the spelling i also put full seasons on my my space under lindas06551

Hi, I know this is a bit of a random post and a longshot, but this has been driving me crazy.
I saw this cap http://lh5.ggpht.com/_19uac6PFwEo/RuCDpvYqLBI/AAAAAAAAATw/Z4LP-WdYE2Y/jericho47.jpg before I got the series on dvd and it's meant to be from epsiode 15 season 1, semper fidelis. However I watched that episode through again and didn't see that scene anywhere, and I don't remember it from any other episode I've seen. It's one of those small annoying things now that just won't let go of my brain so any help anyone? Was it from a deleted scene or edited from the uk version? Many thanks |

Am a Jericho follower....The characters display all the emotions and characteristics of a large group of people who must work together to survive and thrive in an unstable world. Some folks are takers and some folks are sharers. This is not the first fictional account of the USA being attacked.....read "Alas, Babylon".....came out in the late '50's, I think. Should be able to still get this book. Jericho shows the struggle of people against seemingly insurmountable odds. Count me in.
