Valente is the old man. From the episode A.K.A, you can tell he is the big boss of the operation. He was with the guy who wanted to buy the bomb from who they thought was Sarah. in A.K.A., it is stated that an american had to be the head of the operation. He's and American. He had direct influnces with the bomb, and seemingly is high in the ASA government. He's after Hawkins bomb. He has to be the onet hat did it/

Yes, Valente is up to something. He's after Hawkin's bomb, which we learned in season one is evidence of the conspiracy. However, what happened to the undetonated NYC bomb? Did he get ahold of that, too?

If Valente is working with the ASA, then the East Coast bloc of states probably have the NYC bomb, unless he intercepted it during the chaos immediately after the bombs went off elsewhere. The news from the radio indicated that the terrorists were caught before they could detonate the bomb, but it didn't say who caught them or took possession of the bomb.

Could it have been the NYPD or the people he worked with? That MIGHT make a difference in who ended up with them. Maybe that will be answered in Season 2 as well.
