40. RE: Season 2 - CBS excuses for Cancellation
Feb 20 2008, 12:24 AM EST
That seems to be the secret for a succesful show is the almighty dollar. That being said, at least the show is back on the air with (so far) regularity and this time a more reasonable storyline. Now that the old style show is back, maybe we can all watch and enjoy. The storyline seems to be following what happened last season so now I'm wondering what happens next. And how did Chavcez get away from the army guys who were taking him to the supermax prison? Did Jake slip him a key to the handcuffs when he punched him as the army was taking him out of the jail? Did I miss something there? his time, the storyline moved so fast, it was kind of hard to keep up with it. But very exciting and of the cliff-hanger type. What happens next???? Can't wait to find out........

Fantastic! Now will Jake get caught for "aiding and abetting" an escaping prisoner? What a difference from the first episode of Season 2. Hope the excitement continues. also, what is Eric planning next I wonder. He seems to have something up his sleeve. Hmm?

"I also thought season 2 isnt starting out as good as season 1 tomany missing people and way to much jumping around. Like Skyler where is she I thought she played a good role with dale. An is it just me or has Jake's acting went downhill? An where are hawkins kids? What about the chick doctor refugee I cant remember her name off the top my head but she is also missing. I can say looks like they went low budget i mean the train & tank and the napalm drop look 100% fake."Every show has centered around a different group of people the time allowed is only about 45 minutes. It would take 2 hours to hit on everyone and then it would be jumping around. (Jake can just stand there and look good to me ) I think the filming has been great. The scenery is wonderful. May be you should have your TV checked out. If you think you are helping "DON"T'. Don't give CBS any amno to use on the loyal fans. The many theme of the last show was to let us find out about the ASA. We know the others. They will be back! Take a breather and chill. 12 out of 12 found this valuable. Do you? |

Because Beck is US ARMY not ASA. He is supporting what he is hoping is the right side. But he will see the light.

The Fans are Here... it is up to CBS to sell the advertising needed to keep the show alive.......!!!! I know I personally speak to one new person about the show a day... have placed my own advertising on click through advertising sites... and we do have fans overseas... in Sweden and other countries.... The acting, script writing and production of the show are excellent... and after the many years of mindless drivel of "Reality" Shows it is about time that television came back to it's roots... Drama... serial dramas have been the life blood of the industry since the beginning.... Look at the show Lost.... it is mystery based and has many times become stale and maudlin and it keeps plugging (I personally feel Jerico is a 100 times better!) ... I just cannot see the writers ever running out of scenerios that can be entered into the plot... Please keep up the word of mouth campaign.. and tell CBS to get their Advertising Sales people into action to keep this show alive.... We the viewers deserve a good effort on their parts! And are speaking... Girlflower 16 out of 16 found this valuable. Do you? |

I agree, Dusty. Considering the limited budget they are working with, I think the cast and crew are doing a great job. I still wonder what is the deal with the two countries? The self appointed 'President' of the ASA really didn't explain why the western half of the USA is not with the eastern half. There seems to be an undercurrent of half-told facts from the Cheyenne people that the people are accepting as truth but which other watchers are possibly catching as pacification to the questions. Somehow, I don't trust the new self appointed government for the western states. Such as the deal that R&R tried to foist on some of the farmers. and some of the people have disappeared and nobody seems to know what happened to them enroute to Cheyenne. Or am I imagining all this?

Had the had a full season instead of 7 (But Greatful for the 7) The would have spread the president think out longer. I think the ASA are the terrist that blew up the bombs. By destroying Washington during the State of the Union, they were able to wipe out a large portion of the USA government. people will follow the easiest course of action after a disaster such as that only to realize they may have followed the wrong leader (Hitler). The history book (they ARE usually written by the winner) Stated that everything that has been done since WWII was by a corrupt government. (Like some do today) The headings prove that the members of the ASA even before the bombs went off. 14 out of 14 found this valuable. Do you? |

I am really surprised that you all are complaining about Jericho. You fought to get it back on the air. So CBS does so. They bring back an excellent story. Are you people really complaining, seriously. The didn't have to bring it back. The did so because they we all wrote, called emailed, did whatever we had to to get that program back on the air and now you are complaining. The brass at CBS does not have to do anything for us. So quit your whining and give the show a chance to get where it needs to be, or they will cancel, just to spite us. I myself am very grateful that they did put it back on the air. So suck it up and deal with it or we will lose it all together

Sorry you think eveybody is complalining about the new season, Ranezra. For the most part, I think we are all mulling over the events of episode 2. That's what I'm doing anyway. Now that Epi. 1 is done with, the story line is getting exciting and more like we like it & we can't wait to see what happens next. Can you blame us? after waiting from last summer to mid-February, we are all waiting with bated breath to see what happens next and we are all mention facts to watch for. I think it's a good idea to bring back characters a few at a time. After all, that's the way they were introduced in the first place. Do we all agree on this?

I had cc'd NBC, USA Networks and a few others when I wrote my letter to CBS last year. I was hoping one of the other networks would pick it up. Its still an Idea if CBS decides to cancel it. Find a network that is strong enough to produce more episodes and maybe they would do a better job than CBS did.

Hey the kiss on the porch was all it took to revive them. You could tell in season 1 that they stil had feelings for each other. Remember the look on Jake's face when Heather kissed him? You could tell then he wasn't interested in anyone but Emily.I will take Jericho for as long as we can keep it on. I have already purchased th 1st season and have been watching it again. I can sit through 3 episodes at a time. I think we all need to give it a chance . It's a great show, makes you wonder what we all would do if this sort of thing happens. Just keep spreading the word for people to watch, I know I have. 13 out of 13 found this valuable. Do you? |

"Quoting earnings statements does nothing to bolster your insinuations"There was no insinuation. There was a direct rebuttal to CBS's comment in the referenced news story that they are not making any money from their online content. This is a falsehood. The quote had nothing to do with Jericho in particular, except for the fact that they can and should be counting the online viewers from their website towards the total. 14 out of 14 found this valuable. I am complaining about the bait-and-switch with the lower production quality yet CBS is still holding us to the viewer numbers that they generated last season. It's like taking orders for an original Humvee and then trying to deliver an H3. All I would like is for CBS to revise the number downwards to meet the reduction in production costs for the show. Less money = less viewers needed to keep it alive, which is why I am still fighting to keep it alive. I apologize if some of what I wrote seemed inflammatory, or critical of the show. 12 out of 12 found this valuable. Do you? |

Isn't everybody getting a little too sensitive to apparently innocent statements? I mean, really people, just follow the thread and comment without tearing each other down over statements written without malice. I don't see that much in real complaints - just comments. I fear if there is too much infighting in the ranks of faithful viewers, CBS can use that against a renewal of our favorite show since it is 'too divisive' and maybe 'not politically correct and acceptable to the viewing public any more'. If some of you are so woried about what the CBS brass thinks of viewer comments, think about the opposite effect as stated above. Let's show a united front to CBS and I think that will help our cause more than anything else. Remember, if we don't stand together, we will all fall separately.
