"There was no insinuation. There was a direct rebuttal to CBS's comment in the referenced news story that they are not making any money from their online content. This is a falsehood.

The quote had nothing to do with Jericho in particular, except for the fact that they can and should be counting the online viewers from their website towards the total."
Than say what you mean and mean what you say. While you are it, back up your innuendos with some fact.

Here are some facts for you - television as we know it is going through some long overdue changes... whether the networks, or viewers like it or not. Another fact - advertisers need viewers to justify the ad dollars spent. If viewership is not there, they don't want to spend money on ads they feel no one will see. Its a numbers game and the networks run a business. So, for Jericho and any number of other shows to stay on, there needs to be viewers. Not enough viewers = no Jericho. Personally, I don't expect to see anymore than the 7 shows that are planned as it looks like Jericho is not going to pull up its numbers. Again, I like the show as much as anyone here but I think the fat lady is about to sing on this one folks.

I think the reason for cancellation is that CBS is nervous and was told to axe Jericho. As for ratings, I really don't believe the ratings they received were low. Come on people, if history can be changed (and it has been) certainly the ratings can be changed so they can justify canceling such a terrific program. 10  out of 10 found this valuable. Do you?

I agree 100% that we can keep the show going if we all work together. How many of you remember the hue and cry that went up when Star Trek was cancelled? Well, if you remember, that outcry by the fans brought Star Trek back on the air for another 2 seasons. If fans could do it then, there is no reason why fans can't do it again, right? Why not write CBS and rave about how great the show is now and how glad we are to have it back on the air? It's worth a shot. 12  out of 12 found this valuable. Do you?

The show hasn't been cancelled yet. Remeber also, that this year is skewed because of the writers strike. 12  out of 12 found this valuable. Do you?

Last nights episode was great! Good to see Dale back, sorry to see Bonnie going off. Did anyone notice them listed as special guest stars?
I really like the way Beck is turning out. It was nice to see him give alittle bit of info to Heather about his life prior to Jericho .
I am glad its back on. After the 7 episodes if they dont renew I will be lost. These have made me want more seasons!!!!
CBS please keep them coming!

I Loved this show from the first episode of season 1. Always a fan of Skeet Ulrich, I think it awesome that he got to play this role. And I sincerely hope the show can go on. We can't expect this season to be what we already saw, as good as it was, because, of course, now they have to try and figure everything out thats happened to them and try and rebuild a new life. I never understood why this show has been so underrated and got canceled anyway. What with some of the shows that have made it? Too much reality maybe? The fact that it airs at 10 pm is not good for me, it's hard for me to keep from dozing off that late to watch it all, since I get up at 5 am. 12  out of 12 found this valuable. Do you?

Yeah, I too, loved the show from season one, but for a different reason - The reality of it!! I think it is one of the most carefully thought out shows of recent times in that the scenario is quite possible considering the goof-balls that now have nuclear capabilities and the unsettled nature of the world in general. I just can't imagine what would happen if this type of thing actually did happen here in the good ole USA, but I'm afraid it might just happen one of these days. We can only hope that enough of the younger generation has been watching the show to get an idea of how to act in this type of situation and the basic concept of how to survive. After following another thread elsewhere on this wiki, I am encouraged that some of the young people do know how to survive in a primitive situation.
Also, I agree with some of the other members who are wondering why so many of the 'realilty' shows are still being broadcast and probably renewed when "Jericho" is a much better show and does require some thinking and attention. Yes, it is late at night (probably because of the content that might scare the kiddies), but I will give up an hour of sleep once a week to watch a quality show. Please, CBS, keep this story going for a few years. It is a good one.

I did see Bonnie being listed a s a Special Guest Star.

My favorite character is Robert Hawkins...definately CIA.

I'm with you "karahtess," if this show doesn't get renewed, I'll be lost as well, It's been a very long time since I was interested in a TV series, I hate those stupid sitcoms and reality shows. I have to tape it for my wife since she hits the rack at 2000 and has to be awake at 0400. She loves "Jericho" as well and I had to go out and purchase the first season on DVD, because she missed it. She couldn't figure out the reason I kept on talking about it and complaining, when it didn't return last Fall or early this year. Now, she's hooked and wished it was on everyday!

Yepper, I know, on Monday nights. Thanks for the info for those who may have been unaware of that.

Seeing the first episode on Sci-Fi is what got my Wife hooked, but I taped it for her. Later, I went out and bought the DVD's for the entire first season. It took us about five days to watch them all. Many of them I had missed because I forgot it was on, so I was in heaven there for awhile. I love that show.

Once being in the Military, I have to say, and may God help me, I got the chills when I saw our "birds" leaving their silos and were headed out to their targets, even though it was only a TV program. God, I loved it so.

I do. Well since I DID quote CBS saying that they do not earn from online viewers and then used a quote from their own earning's call to prove that this is not true, I would have to call that a FACT, not innuendo. Since Apple is being charged by CBS to air Jericho on their iPods and then these viewers should be counted towards keeping it alive.

As to your 'facts' it would help if you would provide some evidence of this otherwise it is just claims. If you work for the TV industry just list your position and then we can properly decide if you are an expert and have the first hand knowledge that you appear to.

Being that the show was cancelled, I thought I would give this series a try. I thought if the fans loved that much, I might love it to. So I started tivoing it. But I missed out on season one, so I rented it from netflix. And let me tell you this is an excellent show, it's so original and the acting is so top notch. I really don't understand why they cancelled this show to begin with? I haven't started on season two yet, I'm starting to watch them now. I don't know what to expect but judging from what all of you are saying it's not good. I hope that's not true, I really want the best for this show. And if CBS is rushing to conclude this television show, well shame on them, I think they could be very sucessful at this, if they give it a try. New fans are coming around everyday to this show. I might have not of watch last year's season one, with everyone else. But I sure as shit am hooked on it now. Thanks to the writers and the cast for Jericho, excellent job, Wish more shows like this was on tv, instead of bobble head blondes trying to make it famous by showing there lets just say assets. 11  out of 11 found this valuable. I think CBS is doing a lot to keep Jericho going! They gave it a second chance and they are advertising it all over the place, the rest is up to everyone who saved it, THE FANS! Last week the episode was great and the ratings showed! We just have to keep watching it and tell people to watch it! If we do that then getting a season threewill happen!

Thanks neighbor. I live just across the border. The time line is moving too fast for my comfort.

I watched this great show from the beginning. I can't get enough of this wonderful action packed triller.

Thanks to the Sci-Fi channel, new fans can see this show from its start.

Keep your great comments forth coming.

Well unfortunately we need more viewers from the States since CTV has dropped Jericho already. I thought it was a scheduling conflict and that they would air two episodes this week. When I tried to find out when it is on tonight I discovered that they are not showing it again. So off I went to their website and was furious when I discovered that they have sneakily dropped it. No notice or warning, but they have scrubbed their site of most Jericho content and references. It is no longer in their forum, so I dropped a message into the Lost forum saying that Jerico is Lost on CTV. Suffice it to say that I am now going to be getting my 6+ primetime hours/week from ANY other source, just like I will do with CBS should they cancel Jericho.

If you are up here in Canada then let CTV know that you don't appreciate their actions, especially considering that the rating were pretty good up here on this side of the border. Considering Jericho was one of their big performers last year, even during the re-runs, it certainly looks fishy (after only two episodes?!). Unless a CTV exec. comes forward with a reason for the cancellation and the lack of announcement, at least on their web site, then it's Adios CTV! Hello U.S. Satellite Feeds/Internet.

I wish I could get SciFi, or get venture capital to start a privately run internet distribution TV company. Owned privately and distributed directly with none of the BS. Great shows should not die, they should go private...

Wow, after tonight's episode I think that we are going to see a pop in the ratings. I don't want to give anything away but yes, there will be blood. Ravenwood blood.

It's Deadwood time.
