OMG! What a cliff-hanger this last show was. Will Mimi survive the gunshot that went thru the wall of the pantry? And why did Bonie have to die? Poor kid - all she ws doing was protect herself from the bad guys the only way she knew how to. gotta give her credit, tho - she was quite a spitfire when circumstances called for it. Now the question is, did Getz get Mimi's books for his evil schemes or did she have a chance to take them with her when she hid in the pantry? And is Mimi still alive or did she bleed to death before help came? Can't wait another week to find out all the answers. Now the story is back to it's old self. I think Mimi is still alive, I saw a preview of next weeks show. It shows a stand off in front of the Hospital in Jericho.

Sorry Bonnie was killed. I enjoyed her character. Equal Opportunity and all of that good stuff.

At the end of the episode when Jake came to Stanley's house Mimi was getting medical attention so with only a shoulder wound she will be fine. When she went into the pantry I noticed that she was not carrying the ledger, so she probably stuffed it up the fireplace chute or in the freezer. Getz would not be after her if he had her work since he could just deny it was ever a discrepancy. Actually given the loss of their father and now Bonnie, Jake should be ready to snap right about now. I know Stanley is ;) 14  out of 14 found this valuable. Do you?

Film quality seems more like days of our lives next week than a real drama (look at the lighting on the characters). Its the end. Season 2 is the end of Jericho. If the plague does not get you, Hawkins' bomb will. Or maybe they have to use the bomb to remove the plague? Or to prevent any bad acting virus from spreading out of the town? Yup, it was coming and the TV ratings say "terminal". 12  out of 12 found this valuable. Do you?

I didn't think Jake was that involved with Bonnie. Anyway, I believe Jake is ready to snap right about now because of all the subterfuge etc that has been going on. He really don't know who he can trust and who will turn him in. I also think Beck is going to see the light of day and start by turning against J&R. He will probably start with Getz by asking repeated questions about what happened at Stan's farm house and why all the gunfire. Then I think Getz will admit why he was there with the goon squad believing he will be absolved of blame because he was "protecting the current administration" and Beck will promptly place him under arrest. ow use your imagination as to what happens from there. I think the next episodes are gonna be humdingers full of exciting events. 5  out of 13 found this valuable. Do you?

Hey, Pipster. Don't say things like that. I for one didn't notice any deteroration of the lighting or other quality of the filming. If you noticed any 'soap opera' type filming, it can be excused by the limited budget the crew had to work with and I for one feel they have done a remarkable job with the money they had to work with. Comments like that will only lose viewers when everybody is tring to build the number of viewers. I hope you haven't mentioned that view to anybody not involved with this wiki. 14  out of 14 found this valuable. Do you?

Actually i think they have done a "phenomenal job" given the resources available, but you can see the constraints they were working with. Don't get me wrong. I enjoy the show, and i watch next to zero TV, but lets not fool ourselves, for a good load of people these days its not just the story that keeps them hooked, its the special effects, the ambience, and other intangibles. This feels a little cheap, looks a little cheap and is not going to impress the internet generation ... Shame. I love it. 13  out of 13 found this valuable. Do you?

Americans are brain dead, we have lost the ability to be critical thinkers. We want to be spoon feed fast food burgers play our nintendo's and could care less about current events. Just look at out current Congress, whas is issue number one, the poor economy, the war in Iraq, no it steroids in Baseball. We sit and get fat, and watch shows like Idol, and the whatever that dumb Lie Detector Show. Menwhile, shows of quality, such as Jericho, loose, and so do we. As of right now, there is only one show that I watch on Network TV, that is Jericho. But, Jericho requires that we watch with intelligence, it requires that we apply critical thinking skills, and it requires thought. I have come to terms that Jericho will be done after this season, and trust CBS will not make the mistake of last year and cancel it without a series wrap-up. But I am not without trepidation for future generations of Americans.

While we middle class lap up "reality TV" the rest of the world passes us buy. We may never know real military defeat, we will may never be occupied by an enemy in this country, but we will be defeated. just as Rome fell, the barbarians are at the gate. Battle today is fought with green paper, not with metal bullets. The Japanese came close to beeting us, i'd say that one was really a tie. We beat the Soviets, not with troops, but money, we out spent them. Now we are faced again with a new rising enemy in that arena, China. And as our economy flounders, theirs grows.

And, as our politicians distract us with steroid hearing, and scream wolf about pending terrorist attacks. and reality TV, don't be suprised when we wonder what happend to our crumbling way of life, lack of class, lack of intelligence, lack of quality, lack of depth and meaning.

I've been in the fire service for 20 years now, and have watch several genrations of rookies come after me and one thing I note is the lack of awereness of the world. As I grew up I followed current events. I was always awere who was in our government, from the local level all the way to the top. I watched the news everynight, read my parents paper, read time, news week, studied history. An after school did not mean rushing home to watch the latest episode of SpongeBob. I rushed home to grab a football, or basketball, or baseball glove.

I studied history, I knew who the heroes of the American Revolution were, what the war of 1812 was, what Remember the Alamo stood for, what the Emancipation Proclomation and Gettyburg Adress was. Remember the Maine! etc. How many 20 year olds today know who Laffayette was, know who George Meade was, or Aaron Burr, or the origin of the Star Spangled Banner.

Music was all about the music, not crotch shots, and for that matter, lead singers actually had telent, and not just a pretty face. If Billy Joel or Springstein were breaking in today, how far would they really get? Why is that they are still around today, yet most modern day artists couldnt even spell longevity.

Perhaps I am getting old, perhaps I am no different then those who have grown old before me. I'd had to think that I am becoming the old man who shakes his fists at those young kids, but I fear for our future. We are shallow, disrepectful, loud, obnoxious, we take for granted our past. The sacrifices our forfathers made for us to get here is lost. It's no wonder Jericho fails and idol does well. Well soon Jericho will be done, but I still will not Idol. Oh well, theres always internet porn...

Bravo, Chief3x7!! You said what I have been thinking for years but didn't have a forum to say it in or to. Did anybody watch the last episodes of the game show "Are you Smarter than a 5th Grader"? I had heard so much about it, I decided to watch it and was shocked and appalled at the answers (or lack of answers) were to some of the most basic questions. One that stands out in my mind was the School Principal who didn't know where the Battle of the Bulge was fought! Another was the current Miss America who flunked out with $250,000 because she was afraid her answer would be wrong and she had used all her 'cheats'. College graduates/students that could not answer simple 4th grade questions. Disgusting is the only word I can find for that situation.
As for music, I have heard more good music coming from a neighborhood cat fight than comes from most modern vocalists. You are so right - all they need is a pretty face and they are 'in'. I also notice that they have the mic right up in front of their mouth so you really can't tell if they are singing or not. Some of the contry singers are still good, but they are beginning to follow the pop 'artists'. Some of the vocalists can't even read music or have a stone ear or something because they can't even sing a song the way it was written - they always have to put their spin on it and put in a bunch of extra notes that are so out of tune that it grates on the ear and nerves of music lovers. Even the hymns are scandalized by most vocalists. I peronaly think that Billy Joel or Springsteen would be laughed out of the studio and ridiculed by the youth of today.
I too am afraid for the younger generation since they don't know much of anything except how to use a computer to find answers and correct their spelling. What would happen if we were suddenly without electricity due to ??? Curl up and die? The youth might but not those who were raised without it. to be cont.

To continue: Yes, Americans are brain dead. We have lost the ability to think-period. Anyone remember the story of "1984" by Welles I think. It is fast coming true - TV feeds us what the leaders want us to know and all else is hidden from the light of day. Even the newspapers print only half truths and champion the political candidates they want to publicize. The people blame the President of the country for all our troubles when the people themselves could fix most of the problems with a bit of logical thinking. Instead of being so tuned in to sports shows and reality TV, why can't they look at the rest of the world and wonder what our leaders are thinking as they try to run the country? It is truly sickening how Congress keeps spending to 'aid' the rest of the world yet the things that are needed by some people are witheld because it would be 'too expensive and would break the buidget". Yet they spend millions on steroid hearings for sports, accept money from lobbyists for the pharm companies to keep prices sky-high, and give millions to third world countries to "fight AIDS". I am afraid that we are in for an economic and military defeat. If only people would watch Jericho and other shows of quality, they might just start to think again. There is a lot to be learned from history, but it isn't taught in schools now-a-days. Mores the shame. The reason? "Too much to be taught and the kids wouldn't really learn it anyway." That's BULL!! Instead of learning how to write a term paper on a computer, try teaching something worthwhile. The kids can learn computer skills on their own time. School is for learning math skills (not how to use a calculater), spelling, punctuation and grammer with history and government as an additional subject.
Long live "Jericho", the thinking people's show! I will fight to keep it going if at all possible. I love it.

Well at least it was an intelligent show before tonight's pitiful excuse for a script. Getz missed that his J&R subordinate knew all about it since she was the one that told him about Mimi's discovery. He also missed that the original data is on the J&R servers which means that they are data locked after submission, which they did last week, so he could not modify or delete the original numbers. Oops, there's one of those plot hole thingys. He would have had her 'accident-ed' before he ever learned of Mimi surviving if he had the ledger, especially if he was willing to face off against Jericho to silence Mimi. Just plain bad, as was the ending. Amazing how Stanley knew exactly when to ride in when he didn't even have a line of sight with the action, or that no one reacted to him storming in his pickup into the middle of them all when Jericho and New Bern were facing off again.

It was only one episode so it won't kill the show but if they degrade this aspect for the last couple of episodes it will just be more ammunition that CBS is trying to kill the show.

On another point I noticed that Comcast is now advertising that they are offering CBS content On Demand for free, so if you are missing your Jericho fix head on over and check it out. While your there ask them how much they are paying CBS to get you to go there to view their ads.

Keep up the fight and

Viva la Revolucion!

"I'm here, I'm watching, I'm posting and I'll take Jericho any way I can get it. I'm a diehard fan. I just wish my viewing counted, as I'm not a Nielson household.
"
I do not think any ratings [ Nielson ] [ Tv Guide] will count, CBS had not
intention to go on with the show. Jericho did meet their mindless Programming.

I hope the Production Co. will market the show [ JERICHO ] to a caring
network, with a proven Fan base. I know there is more Fans, than, they want
to adimit.

Jericho , Must cost CBS more to produce than [ mindless reality programing ]

"I think you are imagining the people missing unless?? had the right idea about the boxcar. I think they needed more time to explain the ASA. Had the had a full season instead of 7 (But Greatful for the 7) The would have spread the president think out longer. I think the ASA are the terrist that blew up the bombs. By destroying Washington during the State of the Union, they were able to wipe out a large portion of the USA government. people will follow the easiest course of action after a disaster such as that only to realize they may have followed the wrong leader (Hitler). The history book (they ARE usually written by the winner) Stated that everything that has been done since WWII was by a corrupt government. (Like some do today) The headings prove that the members of the ASA even before the bombs went off."
Maybe, If the show goes SiFi They [ Production Company ] will have
a two part show or movie to fill in all the blankes.

ASA Goverment for one.

There was never any intention of having the show go past this season, we were diluded in thinking there was any chance otherwise. Nielson was never going to allow this show to do well because that would prove them wrong, prove how irrelevent and misrepresentative they really are and there fore make them not needed. They were not going to let that happen.
