Do you really think the UN would be of any value in this? Just what do you think they could do?

"Do you really think the UN would be of any value in this? Just what do you think they could do?"Well in yesterday's episode the reporter said that UN peacekeepers are stationed along the Mississippi river. THis would suggest that the UN still reckonizes the USA (or OSA). And if the UN is on the other side of the 'blue line' this would mean that relief supplies and international troops are helping the USA. Also on the ASA page they say they are capturing all highways to the USA and Texas. Add to the fact that the new history books the ASA are handing out makes them seem aggressive towards the rest of the world, hence (in my opinion) THe UN and most other countries would be helping the USA in thier fight aganist the ASA. 8 out of 9 found this valuable. I agree with bywjames. The UN is assisting the USA. This is getting very interesting. I tell you what, if it was me, I would be 100% behind Hawkins. You wanna live, and do what's right - do what Hawkins says. I would've never have put that badge on. Though Jake is learning. :0)

"Just where is the UN in all of this ? Does anyone remember the TV movie "Amerika", a few years ago. I see a few similarities between "Amerika" and Jericho."I do remember that movie, it came out in the late 80s. It Kris Kristopason in it. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

The UN Peacekeepers along "The Blue Line" are likely just there to prevent conflict between the ASA and the USA. They can only remain by mutual consent, as Israel went through the UN when they invaded Lebanon in 1982. They're probably too lightly armed to do much in the event of an ASA offensive anyway. Perhaps the ASA is just biding its time while it exerts control over the states it already has and tries to seduce Texas into joining it peacefully. Then, when the ASA is ready, they'll go through the UN Blue Helmets like feces through a goose.

Check the factions section, on the Wiki. I did an entire page on the U.N. it is clear they do not want to pick a side between the ASA and USA. They are also on the Blue Line to make sure that the Hudson Vally Virus does not spread further then it already has. I have a feeling that we'll be seeing more U.N. Forces has Hawkins talkes with Chavez again. I think Texas will joined the USA and the USA will tell the U.N. what happend. The U.N. will then attack the ASA because they took out two nations and killed millions of people. (Around a billion or more if we had the 23 Cities, the after effects, and then North Korea and Iran....) The ASA will be stopped.

Last night the comment was made that the Mississippi was the "Blue Line". When Jake asked what that was, the answer was the UN had troops stationed there. It seems like the UN is supporting the Eastern Block (USA).

"Last night the comment was made that the Mississippi was the "Blue Line". When Jake asked what that was, the answer was the UN had troops stationed there. It seems like the UN is supporting the Eastern Block (USA)."The U.N. can't support the United States, the Allied States has all of the Nukes. As we've seen, the ASA is willing to "Flex their arms", they did blow two nations off the map. I promise you that the UN won't take sides. Instead they'll just stay on the border to keep the ASA and USA from beating each other. Oh and the reason why it's called the "Blue Line" is cause U.N. Peacekeepers wear Blue Helmets and the flag is blue. 2 out of 4 found this valuable. Do you? |

Not to mention the nukes on the Navy ships and subs. That is if they are still loyal to to the US. (considering San Deigo and Seattle were nuked all the other major naval bases in the US are on the East coast with the exception of Hawaii and Alaska.)

Sarfatti;"UN Peacekeepers along "The Blue Line" are likely just there to prevent conflict between the ASA and the USA." That is just the point. UN Peacekeepers are incapable of doing that, hence the reference to being a paper tiger. 1 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

The river may be wide but with the number of boats available no way the river is secure. Texas joins the US and then the US tells the UN what happened? The UN is not capable of attacking anyone!! A billion dead? Where have you been? The bible for this show, for us the show itself, has clearly told us 15 million. The vast majority of them will be from causes other than the explosions. 2 out of 4 found this valuable. Do you? |
