History is written by the victors
Feb 20 2008, 4:57 PM EST
I know this might be a stretch, but I think the ASA (or parts of it) were a part of the attacks. Think about it, shortly after the attacks, this new goverment suddenly formed, began expanding thier terrority, changed the flag, and within weeks were handing out new history books with thier point of view on US history. (The heading on the page that the mayor looks at reads "The fall of the first republic 1945-present" and has chapters on every major conflict and for some reason the Nixon years).
I just think that it's a bit much for a senator from Wyoming to not only declare himself president, but to make such sweeping changes and agressive moves by himself. Maybe President Tomarchio is just a pawn or poster boy for the actual factions that led the attacks aganist America.

Course I may be wrong, but this is just my opinion.

You mean who is his Cheney? Well, Valente would certainly make the short list. Yeah, all such authoritarian governments need a figurehead or human face to front for them. 19  out of 20 found this valuable. Do you?

This passage of text really interested me:

"I just think that it's a bit much for a senator from Wyoming to not only declare himself president, but to make such sweeping changes and agressive moves by himself. "

Sounds like Obama to me. First term senator. Wanting to be "in charge" and lead massive change. And in "real life," it's looking like the country is about to hand itself over to him.

I agree. I think Jennings & Rall had a hand in it also, as well as Valente. (Who knows, Valente might own part of J&R.)

Well with any sort of government takeover you need an idiot for president (Bush) and a bunch of conspiring criminals to hide behind him (Neocons).
So the plot seems quite relevant, Tamarchio seems to be conveniently naive and stupid and most likely doesn't know whats really going on. He's young, pretty, and willing to go along with whatever.

I know what you mean. I think John Edward's people thought he would go pretty far on his looks also. (Pretty boy, pretty hair) Ha! Fooled them! He was the first out.

I'm begining to think the writers are watching the news some of the people are starting to remind me of real ones. We have Valetine (Cheney), Jennings& rall ( Haliburtin) Ravenwood ( Wasn't there a security firm in hot water in Iraq not to long ago) this may be fiction but i'm starting to see quite a few comparables 20  out of 21 found this valuable. Obama does not have a corporation behind him as the Bush administration does with Halibuton. Large corporations are taking over all aspects of government business, not only Haliburton, but also Bechtel, Boos Allen Hamilton, etc just to name a few.

Obama does have George Soros (and his many "organizations" ) supporting him. Soros has spent millions to make sure HIS "party" gets in.

"Blackwater"
I think you are right. I was thinking "Whitewater" but I think that is the Clintons legal problems from a few years ago. Totally different.

I don't know if there is a site where you can check out who donated to each candidate and/or how much, but I do know that George Soros (foreign-born billionare - for those of you who haven't heard of him) has several "organizations" such as "Move On.org" to which he channels money to donate to Democratic politicians. Plus he has paid for full page ads (NY Times, etc). He has spent millions so far.
