Who could play the President of Texas?

I was thinking more of a cowboy type. Maybe somebody like Sam Elliot. Imagine him talking down to President Tormachio in a gravely drawl. "We ain't going to join the Allied States. We know it was you who organized the attacks and now we're coming after you." 11  out of 12 found this valuable. Do you?

Maybe somebody like Sam Elliot aka The Stranger (Big Lebowski)...He could have as his theme song Tumbling Tumbleweeds, and give off this vibe that he really understands scruffy types and despises phony slickers. But what part of Texas would he come from? What do we know about Texas, really?Do you know that Texas is about 800 miles if you drive across the widest part of it? That covers a lot of different terrain and different types of people. A reason he might not like to join the ASA is the way the stripes in the flag don't run the traditional east to west, but north to south. That would mean that ASA probably wants to declare the country runs North to South and is advocating that big highway that is semi-secret from a port in Mexico where Chinese goods come in, to the plains of Alberta, Canada (where there's oil and gas and tar sands) as well as competing cattle interests (but to tell you the truth, everyone in the Anglo American world buys their polled

Actually, Sam Elliot played Sam Houston in a mini-series back in the 80-'s. I don't remember the title, but get this, the miniseries was on(are you ready for it) CBS. Weird you should mention Sam, Last night .before the final episode, i decided to watch "We Were Soldiers" again for the umpteenth time, and sam Elliot played SGM Basil Plumbly perfectly. I'm actually rereading the Book "We were soldiers once... and Young" Must reading for any Jericho Ranger.

He the older brother, Dean, in "SUPERNATURAL"
He's from Dallas.
He kinda has the look of a texas leader, just have the makeup crew have him roughed up around the edges, due to the bombs, and it has potential.

Sam Elliot played Sam Houston and also played Brigadier General John Buford in Gettysburg.

Great choice! Great Actor.

Mobius,

I'm cracking up here. You're funny! I loved the lines the way you put out those reasons for your vaildation for presidency.
Being a Texan myself, I can say that I'm no politician. I'd never in a million years pass for one either. I'm way too honest. Now there's a trait that's as scarce as hen's teeth in a politician.
Anyhow, onward with my present but fleeting train of thought.
When I began reading this Kinky FRiedman came to mind with his props of cigar and glass of booze. He's a character that Kinky.
The one about Ru Paul was funny too. I gotta give kudos to that one too. ^5 on that one.

I'm going to throw my vote in for Sam Elliot, but it might be to much for my heart to handle having both him and Skeet in the same show Do you find this valuable?

Dear Jericho Fans,

I've contacted CBS and gotten the name of the producer to contact via regular mail. I believe we can still make a statement if we use regular mail instead of email since email is easily deleted or ignored. Regular mail will pile up as did the nuts.

I respectfully request of any and all fans of Jericho that you not only use this information yourself but pass it along to any other forum or medium that pertains to saving this riveting drama. You might also want to enlist family and friends to do the same.

It is with this in mind that I post here the phone number to call for CBS and the name of the producer and the address to send your regular mail.

CBS Phone number ( Programming Dept. ) and times to call are as follows:

10:00 AM - 11;30 AM 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM EST USA Monday thru Friday only

Producers name and mailing address are as follows:
