Well, since it can't be Gerald McRaney, Sam Elliot has my vote. I loved him as Cher's biker boyfriend in Mask.

Though Sam Elliot , is still my first choice. Tommy Lee Jones would be a great one also. How about those two for pres. & vice. Pres? Tommy Lee Jones was in one of my all time favorite movies Stranger on my land.

Yes, SamElliot,Harrison Ford ,Mel Gibson or Tommy Lee Jones will be great.I just hope we will get someone to pick up a third season of jericho or get some news on the movie.

I love Tommy Lee too, especially in the Loretta Lynn Story--AKA Coalminer's Daughter, and The Gary Gilmore Story, AKA The Executioner's Song, but Sam's still #1.

Tommy Lee Jones is a Texican anyway, but he's such a big movie face, it's unlikely he will get involved in a tv series. Mel(Mad Max) Gibson,personal favorite of mine,I don't see him as President of Texas,sorry.Harrison Ford, no way on all accounts, besides he's too liberal to pull it off.

Sorry folks, haven't checked-in in quite a while. If fans are given a chance to assist the third season, even in a small way, then helping select a President for the Republic of Texas would be a good start. My vote would be for Sam Elliott. I made this choice before I even had a chance to read some of the other replies. It would appear that many of you also share a simliar choice.Any news on the third season???? I enjoy watching my DVD's of the first two seasons, since the other shows on TV are such a waste of time. gc_mountainman Do you find this valuable? |

I almost to to say I watching Tv this afternoon on western channel and guest what was on Shadows Riders with Sam Elliot and Tom Selleck.Before that SamElliot was on ,he play in a series in Wild Times I never had seen that before. I thought I would say something about that since we had ben talking about Sam Elliot alot lately.
