To Becks'gram

You go, Beck'sgram! Well said. You echoed my feelings exactly. In fact, I couldn't have said it better myself. It is indeed a shame that this great country of ours has lapsed into such a state of apathy and disinterest - yes, even disbelief - that something like Jericho 'can't happen here'. How soon this country has forgotten that it did happen, not once but twice. We have forgotten all about the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941 when the Japanese attacked "out of the blue" while the ambassadors were still talking to the Secretary in Washington, DC. A surprise attack that could never happen. Then along came 9/11/2001 - again another attact that could never happen here. Wake up people! It has happened and can happen again. I just wonder what the maajority of people will do when it happens again. Give up to the nearest 'enemy'? Fight back first, then give up? Or will the people fight back with the will to win like our ancestors did in 1776? Yes it is hard to imagine our country at war here on the sacred soil of these United States, but it can and most likely will happen sometime in the future. Will the people be ready for it or will they all lay down like sheep waiting for the slaughter? 8  out of 9 found this valuable. Do you?

Fist to Becksgram. I total aree with you 100%. It's like you took the thoughts right out of my head. & to ladybug8. I also agree. & on Pearl Harbor, I total forgot about that. It makes a great point. Every body knows this relates to 9/11, we've used that example a lot. But Pearl Harbor, what a great new example. 2  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?
