P2P/Torrent Sites & WEBISODES that are succeeding!

Some of the strongest Jericho fans can be found not just in MySpace and on fan sites, but on broad media sites. I have specifically targeted P2P and torrent indexing sites of which I'm an active member. A strong statement comes not just from viewing, but from PURCHASING the series and using iTunes to purchase tracks specific to the show. There are two current examples aside from Jericho that have kept the community alive and kicking for cult-favorite shows. One, as most here should be familiar with, is FIREFLY. Firefly is currently continuing with the recent release of exclusive graphic novels, as well. We were not able to get it back on air or finance webisodes YET, but we ARE working for webisodes that can be purchased episode by episode from an online site. Many seem unaware that SCIFI has begun production and predicts the release of a series of full-length webisodes for the brilliant tv series, FARSCAPE. Farscape was cancelled FOUR years ago, and they are bringing it back through webisodes this summer (2008) with the possibility of bringing it back to television if the series is well-supported online. Yes, SERIOUSLY -- FARSCAPE is coming back! And check out the series SANCTUARY by Amanda Tapping at Sanctuaryforall.com - a full webisode series that is available through the website. There is tremendous support for media in this fashion, and producers are adapting to today's internet-based audience. Take a few moments to write or just print out any of the pre-written letters and send via snail-mail. Its just a postage stamp. Remember, SCIFI is definitely paying attention, and they are willing to try NEW approaches to fit the fanbase. DON'T QUIT! Marzbarz 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Farscape is coming back? Wow!What you said is seriously true -- I use bittorrent all the time, but for a series that you want to return -- BUY the DVDs! Download the episodes from iTunes! I'm not made of money, but I have done both because I want to send a strong signal that the fans support this show. Please buy the DVDs- you won't be sorry. I'm watching mine from the start all over again and it just emphasizes to me again that we need to save this show. They are really worth it. Letters are great too, but money talks. When they see the sales of the DVDs going up that means more to them than probably anything else. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |
