More Supportive Knowing Gerald McRaney is Not on Board

I have to say, McRaney is a scary, scary individual. Because he's played military men on television, he seems to feel he is one, or at the very least a veteran, and his politics appear to me to be one of war, as if he wouldn't mind something like what happened on Jericho to happen for real. I'm much more supportive of the show knowing he'll no longer be a part of the cast. I certinaly support my family members, friends and others fighting today, and veterans of past wars, but am not a war advocate. Wars are what causes things like what happened in Jericho to happen for real.

He is an actor and happens to be good at playing those types of roles. I think your true dislike is that he is a Conservative Republican. I guess someone who supports a Socialist Organization like the Gray Panthers would strongly dislike someone who plays military characters while acting and is conservative in nature. He is an actor and a darn good one. 9 out of 9 found this valuable. Do you? |

I'm glad I took out a day to compose myself before writing a comment back on this one. The first reason I got on any of the message boards about Jericho was when they killed off Gerald McRaney in what I thought was the last SEASON episode, only to findout out like every one else they had cancelled Jericho. Gunnymojo you are right on with your comment and I also believe stellamojo's comment is all about politics and not about acting skill or character development on the Johnston Green character. Going hand in had with that I think stellamojo's comment illustrates exactly why Jericho was cancelled. It struck too close to home on several topics including the current economic mess we find ourselves in. Greedy corporate America has showed its ugly face once again only instead of it being a fictional Jennings and Rall we are now looking at a real Lehman Brothers, Washington Mutual Bank, Wachovia, etc. The program struck a nerve with the Ravenswood - Blackwater parallel and Second Amendment issues. Yet when Jericho was in need of survival it was individual rights, i.e., Second Amendment and hunting rights, that instantly became a necessity and not some vaguely debated issue of “what ifs.” Herein lies the true basis of the stellamojo comment she is a sheep. The sheep stand together to be comfortable not wishing to think about the wolf in the woods stalking thme because that would be uncomfortable. To protect them are the sheepdogs but the sheep don't like the sheepdogs either because they are aggressive like the wolves and tell them what to do. But when the wolf comes the sheep call for the sheepdogs to protect them. After the wolf is driveoff the sheep dismiss the sheepdogs and again wish them to go away.

I HAVE TO AGREE WITH YOU ANDGUNNYMOJO ON GERALD MCRANEY BEING A GOOD ACTOR INWHICH HE WAS ONE OF THE GREAT ACTOR ON JERICHO. IT WAS SAD HE WAS KILL OFF. GREY WAS NOT A GOOD MAYOR OR LEADER. AS FOR STELLAMOJO JOHNSON GREENE WOULDNOT WANT THAT KIND OF THING HAPPEN FOR REAL IN JERICHO. AS IT DID HAPPEN IN THE SHOW HE DIDN'T WANT IT HAPPEN NEITHER,BUT HE DID FIGHT TO KEEP JERICHO FOR BEEN RUN BY RAVEWOOD AND NEW BERN THAT WHY WARS HAPPEN KEEP FROM BEEN TAKEN AWAY BY OTHER STATE , OTHER COUNTRIES OR SOMEONE THAT WILL TAKE AWAY YOURS AND MY FREEDOM. THAT WHY WE HAVE WARS TO KEEP OUR FREEDOM. ON THE SUBJECT OF WHY JERICHO WAS CANCEL WAS IT SHOW TO MUCH ON WHAT IS HAPPEN IN USA TODAY FOR REAL IN OUR GOVERMENT AND IN OUR COMPANIES IN BANKING AND OTHER OFFICES. BUT WE ALREADY KNOW WHAT HAPPEN AMERICA YOU TO LATE TRYING KEEP FROM US. THAT WHY I LOVE WATCHING JERICHO IT WAS PUTTING THE TRUE OUT THERE FOR US TO SEE

Sarge,"Greedy corporate America has showed its ugly face once again". Sorry Sarge, I must disagree it was more the fault of Congress than "greedy" corps. Congress forced lenders to grant loans to borrowers that were not financially sound enough to repay said loans. True some people jumped into that field because the money at risk was not theirs, but the blame is Congress'. 2 out of 3 found this valuable. Do you? |

ok so trying to catch up on the news its been a while since i check in so is jericho back on the air i havn't seen anything on the tv but i so hope it is i love that show! so can someone give me the abridged version please thanks so much....

The reason Jericho failed was Season 2 turned from Conservative leaning to hard left Liberal leaning with a mix of right wing paranoid extremism. The extremes have more in common with each other than people realize. Both see the government as evil and sinister - 911 Truthers consist of people like this - "The government pulled of 911 !! Not the terrorists" they cry! That, in a nutshell is what Jericho Season 2 was all about.CBS probably though conservative would watch Jericho no matter what and that going hard left for Season 2 into Oliver Stone/Michael Moore territory would add liberal fans making the show viable. They gambled and lost. Jericho fans however were the real losers as CBS's actions effectively killed Jericho for good. 0 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |
