I’m delusional in thinking any network will pick up Jericho (it’s more likely the Pope will become Jewish) even though it has been cancelled twice by CBS for bottom-feeder ratings. Saying, “It is my firm belief that this show would be a great ‘fit’ for your station,” means I know nothing about programming, contemporary audiences and demographics; I’m just a rabid fan who believes getting this show back on the air is a misguided Holy mission. Instead of treasuring the show on DVD, I’m throwing a temper tantrum and will hold my breath until you bring it back. 1 – 2 – 3 . . . In a fit of egomania and false, magical belief I continue to attempt to force this dead show back on the air for the pleasure of a very small band of fans. Guess that’s why Network Execs snicker when expensive ads are placed in Trades, or tons of food are wasted. I don’t give money and effort to worthy charitable causes. Instead, I have a false sense of power. Imagine how good I’ll feel when Jericho is revived. All that effort, all that money, all that passion. And still no viewers because Jericho has no brand recognition and would get pulled after a few episodes. I mean, it was an okay drama, but I’ve forgotten that, “It’s only a TV show.” But the really scoop is Jericho taught me things. Important things about Corporate Greed and fighting against it. You know: real Davy and Goliath stuff. But I really didn’t learn anything from Jericho at all. I used to be a normal person. Now I’m just a stupid goof. I can click and paste too! People, let me make this easy for you. He is a troll. From the Urban Dictionary.... A forum troll is someone who actively watches a forum. Not to be confused with a lurker, or just a forum frequenter, the troll annoys, pesters, and generally insults any thread they open. He joined this forum in 2008 and has posted this type of stuff from the beginning. Trolls do this sort of thing simply to get a reaction from people, because well quite frankly, they have something lacking in their life. Instead of joining a forum where they are actually a FAN of something, they come here and insult strangers just for the joy of it. Kinda like the bully in school who stood around and said mean things to people for no reason. The best way to handle trolls is to simply ignore them. He'll keep coming back to hurl meaningless insults, probably after this post. But it's ok. He's a troll. That's what they do. Don't talk to him and he'll eventually go away. oh, I forgot to add one more thing..Trolls will usually come back immediately and prove the point I made above....they will come in fast and furious and hurl something that they think will actually bother the person who called them out for being a small-minded bully to begin with....when at the end of the day even IF you were a cousin-marrying-slob from TN who sat in a Jerry Springer audience every week for the rest of your life, you would STILL have a happier existence than a forum troll.
