Gail's background

I've always enjoyed Pamela Reed and am happy to see her in drama. I feel she is playing Gail as the daughter of a farming family. She has her feet on the ground and her soul is anchored in a source of spiritual strength. She is VERY real and a source of calm and peace for her family.

I have to agree that she is very grounded and a very strong woman. But she is the Mayor's wife and has to be there for the town also. I love the way she takes charge of her husband when he was sick because sometimes that is what has to be done. She tries to bring humor to dark areas, refering to the "said pumpkin." I also believe that she should be the one starting to do the canning to preserve as much food as possible and gathering the women of the town, because at some point the women will have to take a stand if the men are elsewhere in the town and they are on the outskirts.
