There is alot of information on the web, and available from the government. China and the former Soviet Union always beleived that a all out nuclear exchange was survivable the Soviets even had classes they taught to grade school childern about how to survive a nuclear war. I am trying to say is do alittle research and find the facts for yourself, don't beleive what you read in chat rooms or places like this. The site www.oism.org/nwss is a good site and www.ki4u.com/nuclearsurvival/survival/index.htm is very helpfull also.

"...200 meg[aton]..." What? Excuse me?

October 20, 1961 the largest and most powerful nuclear weapon ever was detonated by the USSR. The Russian name: "Царь-бомба" literally translated as the Western name of "Tsar-bomb" was a 50 megaton weapon code named Ivan. This bomb was too large to even fit inside the delivery aircraft and required deployment with a parachute to slow its' decent enough to provide any chance of survival of the plane crew.

Did I miss something? What 200 meg hitting the ground are you talking about?

You are not even close. You device is off by several orders of magnitude.
Your device is 10,000 times to big. Potassium iodide is effective against only radioactive iodine.
I don't know where your research is coming from but it is faulty!

I think he got Star Trek confused with Jericho and was thinking of a quantum torpedo perhaps ;>)
