Is this a Wiki or a Forum?
Dec 8 2006, 6:58 AM EST This site has a bit of an identity crisis. People are using the comments as they would a forum. They are opening new pages, not adding any actual data into the page, but carrying on a conversation in the comments. I think that is due to the way the software, Wetpaint, is designed. I recommend that the powers that be at CBS may want to set up a separate forum site. Let us wiki purists work on the information and keep the chit chat somewhere else. Just a suggestion. Your mileage may vary. 10 out of 12 found this valuable. Do you? |

The software is designed for both page creation and commenting within the context of any page topic, so it's not a limitation but a matter of users becoming familiar with what this wiki platform can do. Naturally, people who are used to the forum format will use the wiki in a way that's most familiar to them. As always, other members of this wiki can always pass along tips to new users. Feel free to jump in and help out! 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

Dec 11 2006, 9:49 PM EST I think a pure fact-listing venue would be just plain boring. A lot of what people are doing here is THEORIZING about the attacks. They are going back and forth and ELIMINATING nations, etc., the kicker being the EMP, which had to be delivered by missile, eliminating most domestic terrorism. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Dec 19 2006, 8:13 AM EST Maybe I'm way off base but I thought that we were allowed to post material that could or should be relevant to the events concerning Jericho. I did just that to only find that a few days later it has been removed. Nothing that I posted was objectionable or vulgar. Nor was it self promoting or a sales gimmick. You ask for involvement and activity but I see very little else being post here by others here just conversation that's relevant to the program. Why bother? 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

RE: Is this a Wiki or a Forum?
Jan 15 2007, 6:16 PM EST "why does the emp have to be from a missile?"An EMP is caused by a nuclear blast high up in the atmosphere. People have theorized that one blast over Chicago could knock out the electric grid in much of the country. Some real experts on other threads have conjectured that our military has found a way to create a limited EMP from conventional weapons, but if you remember this episode, 9:02, we saw the thing explode high up in the sky. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Feb 3 2007, 9:29 PM EST Funny thing, the people that want to use this as a forum have just as much right to do so as those that call themselves "wiki purists" have. While I agree that it is a little out of hand, it is going to happen to any site where there is a "fan" interest. Do you find this valuable? |

Mar 14 2007, 12:32 PM EDT The Wiki should definitely be a place for both fact finding and sharing info/comments/questions about the show. However, if people would stick to the subject presented in the thread title, it would help keeps things on track and organized. Do you find this valuable? |
