"actually, the missiles you see in Federal Response were more likely ABMs...they are launched to knock out enemy missiles. the EMP explosion was probably the result of a sucessful, but late, intercept. some remnants of NORAD probably detected an incoming strike just in time to get what little defenses we had remaining airborne. the missiles they were intercepting could have been from any number of irritated or opportunistic enemy countries."

"The US does not have any ABMs other than Patriot missles and they are way too small as those on the show. Its unlikely civil war since only cities were targeted no military bases were knocked out unless they left that out of the story so far. The way to win a war is to elliminate your oppents means to wage it."
