Makes sense. Watch the episode federal response. Order was being reestablished by it seemed Homeland Security, then EMP ICBM's were launched to knock the power back out again. One part of our government is fighting the other. 21  out of 22 found this valuable. Do you?

It is still not known where the missiles launched from the US went. I seriously doubt they went straight up and detonated to cause an EMP over America. I think those missiles were heading somewhere else. When the warhead used to create the EMP detonated, there was only one explosion. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

actually, the missiles you see in Federal Response were more likely ABMs...they are launched to knock out enemy missiles. the EMP explosion was probably the result of a sucessful, but late, intercept. some remnants of NORAD probably detected an incoming strike just in time to get what little defenses we had remaining airborne. the missiles they were intercepting could have been from any number of irritated or opportunistic enemy countries. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. The description on the jericho website describing the episode said that they were minuteman missiles, which are ICBMs

The US does not have any ABMs other than Patriot missles and they are way too small as those on the show. Its unlikely civil war since only cities were targeted no military bases were knocked out unless they left that out of the story so far. The way to win a war is to elliminate your oppents means to wage it.

One of the show producers has said that the ICBM's did not cause the EMP burst. Also she said the ICBM's did hit their target but did not say what the target was??? Do you find this valuable?
