Direction of Nukes

The Jericho article on Wiki says that Oakley, KS is the most likely real-life position of Jericho. So, I did a mapquest, and after comparing the Oakley map's RR switch with the Jericho map's RR switch, I found that the missiles are in fact heading north, not east. This could mean Canada, which is unlikely, or Russia, which has weaker detection capabilities along its north coast. It could picture a pro-Soviet faction launching nukes at US soil as revenge for grudges during the Cold War. 7  out of 9 found this valuable. Do you?

If the Nukes were launched to the north could they have still been headed somewhere like iran because obviously this was aterrorist attack not an act of war from a country like russia and iran is known for its terrorist connections. were the missiles fired by an order from the president or some sort of automated attack because of loss of contact with washington or cheyenne mountain. Do you find this valuable?
