If you go to TV Guide.com, you can check the news. Viva Laughlin is getting pulled, but Amazing Race will take over its timeslot. TVG said not to expect Jericho until January at the earliest. Then it is not known if Jericho will be renewed for a 3rd season, so there are 2 different last episodes. Obviously someone at CBS has never liked Jericho. If they won't continue it why not put it on a cable channel? Because they know it would be too popular and we wouldn't be watching Network TV during Jericho's hour. If you want to get rid of a good show, don't sublet it, bury it.

The delay in bringing this fine show back is all the more frustrating because the storyline is so complex, with so many lead characters and an amazingly possible plot that depends the viewer to watch each episode to stay up with it. The imbecilc decesion to tease us with a few reruns this summer was sheer torture. The show and it's premise is so fantastic, that whenever I turn on the tube and see the fluff and stuff that the networks slop at us, I think about Jericho and how much anticipation that I had each week to see it, especially the excellent writing from season one. I just hope that the impending Writers Strike does not delay it's return further. I do speculate that CBS is only delaying the return so as to show us who the REAL boss is in this situation.

Yea my family is still ready to see @ least the rest of the damn story. I have never followed a show this intencely before in my life . We watched everyshow last season. You can ask my brother after every show(which did have to many commercials) I was jumping up saying man I can,t wait untill next week. After the last show of the season I was all ready to see the next season. WE all said we couldn't wait that long and now that long has happened and has turned into long enough and eventually to long.

I have had the feeling that CBS has been trying to pull an I told you so. First they cancel a great show, then bring it back. Playing out of order reruns on friday night, when most people are out. I just get the feeling that they are doing these seven episodes to tie up the loose ends and shut us up. Like everyone has said it is an indepth facinating show, why they would give that up is amazing. I may have to give up watching CSI and survivor if they do. Does anyone know what the sales numbers for season one were?

Everything I've read has said January after they've run out of already produced shows and other stations are running reruns because of the writer's strike. "I have watched Moonlight and I think it is one of this seasons best shows....I am not into Vampires or stuff like that... in fact, I hate horror films... I was recording it for my son.... I watched the first episode and was hooked... it's not like your old type of vampire movies or shows...this is good acting, writing and it has a really good twist to the theory behind vampires...it's a love story of forbidden love.... Mick (the Vampire) is a good guy saving the world one day at a time...it changes the old myths behind nights stalkings vs. vamps out during the day....or like the wooden stake killing them vs modern day the stake only paralyze them...it's just good entertainment and Iook forward (TO MY SURPRISE) to watching Moonlight every week only wishing for more at the end of the night when the shows is over.... Don't rule it out until you have watched it... I Love Jericho.....can't wait for that to return too...as for as a good time slot for Jericho, I would not have a problem if it replaced Viva Laughlin...I have watched that show and it is either way before it's time or way to late in it's time...I think it is a poor attempt for Melaine Grifith to return to acting after her marriage to Antonio Banderas... she has publicly state that she has sex, sex, sex all day with Antonio B... that was too much information that I didn't need to here on a talk show and as far as i am concern, she needs to go back to her bedroom and stay....she lost her appeal as an actress because of her mouth speaking out on things that should remain between a man and a woman....Put Jericho in Viva Laughlin time slot.....that would make Sundays lineup explosive!!!!! Please, again, give Moonlight a chance...it has good story lines and great acting...."I agree, Moonlight is a great show. Bashing it is not going to bring Jericho back any sooner. Jericho will be back in January or sooner,( hopefully sooner CBS!!!) if or when Viv Laughlin gets canceled or Kid Nation. Which I am not interested in watching. i think that if it's possible we should find out who the sponsors are for the time slot or just in general for cbs. then appeal to them that we think it would be in their best interest if jericho were to return. then more people would watch and they can promote their products to a larger audience than what they are getting now. not to mention the gratitude and loyalty people naturally have when someone goes to bat for them. makes good business sense to me.

I have not liked a show as much as Jericho since X-Files and Third Watch went off the air years ago. Actually, I pretty much stopped watching tv altogether until I found Jericho on dvd the other day and so far have watched the first nine episodes. I'd hate to think that after falling in love with a show again, it would be canceled!

I am also very confused by CBS' actions. I first watched Jericho through Xbox live as they offered the first episode for free. and just like the crack rock, one free sample and I was hooked. It is VERY irritatating to have CBS keep this show in the vault for so long, with all of us anxiously waiting to see what happens. Why would they even attempt a piece of crap like Viva Laughlin (cancelled after 2 episodes) before giving thier viewers back a show they so obviously are willing to fight for. Most of the reviews I have read of CBS' new shows have been awful. The whole premise of kid nation irritated me before the first episode even aired. While I refuse to watch it, I have heard horrible things. I understand that the biggest event to take place so far had to do with the seperation of church and state, a subject so clearly introduced by the shows producers and NOT the children involved. Get this crap off the air! Bring back Jericho in a reasonable time frame. You are not making us forget CBS, you are just pissing us off.

Moonlight? I change the channel after Ghost Wisperer and sometimes tune back n for Numbers. Usually, I end up staying on whatever channel I go to.

Maybe we will be lucky. The writers strike will take a lot of shows off the air. The smartest move for CBS would be to put Jericho on in a really good time slot. It would massacre the rest of the shows in the ratings!!!!!!!!!!!! Then CBS would have to listen and renew the show!!!!!!!!!!!! Let's hope!

Unfortunately from what I hear the strike will really only effect talk shows initially and the networks will most likely come to an agreement before burning off all of the already written material. Although with a lot of the new shows already declining in ratings I don't understand why CBS won't pull those shows and replace it with one that so many people are obviously very passionate about. As I said before I first discovered the show on Xbox live. Before that I had never heard of it. My proposal is this: Market the hell out of the show, magazine ads, billboards, and a slew of tv spots. Maybe air a "Return to Jericho pt.2" show that could catch new viewers up and let the new episodes rip up the ratings like a junkyard dog. When I find such a truly great show that I have never heard of and is on the verge of cancellation, that tells me that the quality of the show is not the problem...the marketing is. 9 out of 9 found this valuable. We watch survivor, big brother, the early show the nightly news, kid nation (Not a great show) watched one show of moonlight and that was enough for us. Our TV stays on CBS for the most part though we do have cabel we tend to prefer network TV as it is less full of things we do not wish the children to watch. What CBS has done IMO is just plain wrong. This childish games oof teasing people and going back and forth has ticked me off!!!! It was my assumption that Jerico would start this fall.........it is now November...and all I have seen lately are boreing shows. You have lost this viewer until Jerico comes back. One viewer may not mean much to you but I truly hope that al fans of Jerico do a complete ban on CBS until Jerico comes back. The fact is it is not just me you are losing........I am part of a jerico group who is all banning CBS until it comes back. We are not a huge group (Less then 150) but I hope our actions speak to other Jerico fans into banning CBS until you keep your word and bring Jerico back. I am not sure who is advising CBS to not run this show but they have no common sense. If you really want to wait that long why not air it here on the site or on DVD to be fair to us all. You will still lose me as a viewer for failing to keep your word but maybe others will give you a second chance. I was watching the news tonight and they talked about how shows such as Desperate Housewives, ER, Office, and a bunch of others will rap up shooting of new shows this week or next because the stars are going to be honoring the picket lines. That is good news if we want Jericho to be a replacement. I guess at this point it could go either way. When the news media talked to some of the stars walking the picket line they said that they were going to raise money for the strikers because "they" (whoever that is) expect the strike to go 2 to 4 months. If (and that is a huge if) that is true then it would have an effect on just about everything.I agree (and I posted on the CBS Jericho web site that ) that marketing is the key. If CBS promoted Jericho like they promote CANE, it would be the number one show on TV. Every little thing we can do to push CBS in that direction would help. Unfortunately most people who have contacts into the entertainment world are through the writers, and right now they aren't too popular with CBS!!!! My daughter is a member of the writers guild and tried calling CBS to put a word in for Jericho, when they asked her what her connection was (i.e. was she just a fan) and she told them she was a writer for some other sci-fi shows they just hung up on her!!! She thought it was funny. So CBS, lets try some marketing. I think it would be good not only for the viewers, but has the potential to put CBS up real high in the ratings. 2 out of 3 found this valuable. Do you? |
